Does anyone have any predictions for the PG World Series?

Dingers will walk away with it.

Should be interesting for sure....some roster moves and pickups could bring some new news and momentum to teams, while others get stronger....

This is very true. Tis the season for roster moves and changes and with the PG WS being pushed back later this year some teams are already making those moves. Rumors are flying about many top teams and break ups and break off portions, so lots could happen during or after this tournament. Some teams might not even look the same come PBR

Park Sharon has some solid pickups. New roster additions will help every team with pitching depth.
Don’t count out Remix

I think some of the Pickups for Park Sharon have gotten injuries recently.....should be interesting to see how that plays out.

I still say Dingers in a cakewalk. If they don't win the whole thing it will be a major disappointment.

I take my prediction back. Dingers tie in their first game. Since starting the season 29-0, they are now 3-3-2 in their last 8 games. Also, I just found out they lost their best pitcher after Florida. I'll take Park Sharon now as well after a good 2-0 start today. Box scores look dominate.

Best pitcher??? Come on, one great outing vs Stars VA doesn’t make that kid the Dingers best pitcher. Dingers have 4 great pitchers. Look at the box score Titans Blue vs Carl Black on Saturday.

Looks like Texas Bombers or Lousiana Select are the favorites.

The bracket is set.
The bottom half seems to be setup for the Dingers to take a run. If they can get by their first game then it sets up for a good matchup against LA Select. Not sleeping on the Phipps Park team either.....

The top half appears to be a little more daunting with Line Drive (although their "Ace" can't pitch until Tuesday) and Texas Bombers matchup if they both take care of their business. I wouldn't count out D'backs on the top half as they continue to be fundamentally sound- just not sure if they have enough pitching depth. As for depth, to the earlier comment, while I agree Dingers lost a good pitcher I wouldn't go as far as the "best". No doubt Very effective at times, but not sure if I would say "best". For sure, the overall depth of pitching on that team is a luxury. I know one thing, calling pitches against them would be tough ...top to bottom arguably biggest bat lineup. As you know, whether pitching or hitting they are still 11u Boys and sometimes it's there and sometimes its not.

Good Luck to all....

Best or not, losing him ended up being the difference in them getting top 4 vs. going to and likely winning the championship. They had no pitching left for today's game and they got blasted for 11 earned runs. I will admit I was wrong coming in. Phillips Park is the best team and I believe that game was for the championship.

The question though is why is this team not advancing deeper and winning tournaments? Is there anyone here that really thinks Phillips Park and others are more talented when you go position by position?

This Dingers team is the most talented 11u team top to bottom that I've seen in this state in years, but wouldn't you agree they are underachieving?

Interesting assessment...I wouldn't go as far as no pitching left. The ones that pitched are day in day out quality pitchers. From what I know it was neck and neck until Dingers gave up some unforced errors ;which by the way negates your point about 11 unearned runs. None the less your point is well taken about not achieving more with the talent at each position. Time will tell what happens there....

Along those lines, how about the young lady on Phipps Park? She pitched against the Dingers and Line Drive and was effective. Not so sure why b/c on the championship broadcast she threw one pitch (fastball and then same pitch much slower) but she was extremely effective against both. Good for her and great to see her compete....

While glad that a GA Team wins the title, I am still up in the air on Line Drive. While I give them credit where credit is due, that team is much different on another weekend without their key pickups. But such is Travel baseball....

I think it may be time to give TG Diamondbacks some well-deserved praise. From what I remember they made a good run in this same tournament last year. This year they beat two top 10 nationally ranked (ranking at this age is silly for the record) teams. They continue to be the lunch pail kids and go to work week in week out.

Finally, how about the silliness and drama around the "bats" created solely by the Remix team vs. Dingers. Evidently that's been brewing for quite some time. From some parents that I ran into while there, it was a complete waste of time and bizarre. Heard that the in game delay was 30-45 mins and then even spilled over afterwards.....I can't agree more with the Remix team more on the sentiment (safety and equal playing field) but as we all know the Dingers have assembled the physically biggest collection of kids in GA. Its not a surprise that they all hit the ball hard. Maybe that drama can exit stage left...but probably not.

Anyway, long missive here, but proud to see 75% of the teams in the final four were from GA. On to the TBS Nationals.....Go get 'em boys.

The Stars did not play that game competitively btw. The game had no impact on their bracket placement.
