If you haven’t heard the news Tony has taken his gigantic portfolio of youth tournaments over to Perfect Game. This is a GameChanger on so many different fronts. Since Perfect Game has now created a monopoly specially in 13U age bracket everyone better start looking for additional couple of pitchers to add to the roster. That means no more 54/80, every tournament will be 60/90 plus having the pressure of pitching restrictions and having to win your pool to advance to bracket it’s going to really make strategy and depth so much more important. Anyone have opinion of this subject?? |

Good afternoon, everyone! Just to alleviate any concerns, we will be offering BOTH 54/80 and 60/90 Divisions for the 13's!
In addition, we will also be bringing over our Gold/Silver/Bronze formats that have been a great success!
We are excited the buzz is growing, and we are looking forward to continuing business as usual, while adding all of the great features, personnel, and resources that only PG is able to offer!
Take care,
PG Youth |

Will all the perks of PG events continue, even though the location and site directors have changed?
-DiamondKast -Radar guns at all fields (velos recorded) -All-tourney teams (based on stats from DiamondKast) -MVP/MV-Pitcher awards -Silver cups/banners awarded (vs. t-shirts and medals) -PitchSmart guidelines followed (vs. innings pitched)
Since there are significant differences from organization to organization, and with some 'blend' of the two already acknowledged (54/80, Gold/Silver/Bronze vs. 60/90, only pool winners advance to bracket), I figured I'd ask about the other 'perks' of PG (and if all of those will be adopted, or will it be a 'blend' as well). |

-Diamondkast at EACH field!
-Detailed player profiles including stats, velocities, mentions, etc. GREAT new features in the works and will be going live shortly!
-Championship Banners/Cups for the top brackets, more awards tbd)
-Gold/Silver/Bracket playoff system
-MVP & MV-Pitcher awards
-All Tournament Teams
-Major Division (Major and AAA+) and Minor Divisions (AAA- and AA/All Star)
We will continue to provide the attention to detail and excellent customer service we have always been known for, along with the great resources and staff that have helped make Perfect Game a leader in not only the Southeast, but Nation-Wide as well!
More details and information will be coming in the next week or two. We are completely open to suggestions and recommendations to improve on all areas of the game, so please let us know if anything comes up!

The only Perfect Game events to operate out of the Lakepoint Sports Complex will be the 15u, 16u, and 17u WWBA Championships In June and July. |

Not sure as of this moment. PG was just a tennant of the Lakepoint Sports Complex. I believe teams will continue to practice out of the complex, as well as high schools being able to utilize the complex. |

Lakepoint is such a great place to play. As nice as EC is I'd still rather play at lakepoint most any day. I hope some organizations fills the void and has their events here. If they do my guess is this is where the best players will play.
Thank you PGadmin for taking the time to answer questions. |

Thank you for taking the time to answer my, and the other's questions. Very thorough and detailed. Tony, Telly, and crew are top-notch. A great partnership with PG, I feel.
And, the reasoning for my questions is that we have, in the past, played some PG events in surrounding states, that were PG in 'name' only. No 'perks' like you'd see/get at 'corporate' events at LP (DiamondKast, all-tourney, etc). Being able to follow along via a constantly updated website like PG's is just another 'perk'.
The only question I had, that I didn't see answered: PitchSmart guidelines? Or...? |

Not to worry! We are not a PG Affiliate.. we are a part of PG NATIONAL Headquarters, and will be running “core” events!
Pitchsmart will continue. More details on that are being ironed out as we speak.

Since PG's name on it now, does that mean there is hope for functioning scoreboards and clean bathrooms?? |

Wow Tony, congrats, this has got to be exciting for you!
My question, what about the 15u-18u events...now that PG has pulled out of Lakepoint are those events mostly Triple Crown now...or is there a new name for these events like Triple PG or something along those lines? |

Triple Crown essentially is no longer, here in the state of Georgia aside from a the US Club Nationals event, as well as any other events the National Office may run down the road. All of the events that were formerly run by our franchise have been added to the PG event lineup, along with some additions. On top of that, the great events already established by PG including the Summer Showdown Protected by G-FORM, ECB Invite, WWBA Championships, Super 25 Qualifiers, etc. are remaining.
I am not able to go into major detail here, but yes, PG is no longer running events at Lakepoint aside from the 15u, 16u, and 17u WWBA National Championships in June and July. We are not aware of the future of the complex, other than that there are showcases and practice slots being utilized.

If I am understanding correctly then, when you say Showcases, those will not be PG showcases at Lakepoint? So the closest option to participate in a PG Showcase will now be Florida? |

There will still be showcases run at LP. As far as tournaments go, WWBA is the only PG tournament series taking place there. |

Is any real change being made to the age cutoff with this switch? The guidelines on the tournament page read "2024 year graduates or younger or born on May 1 2005 or later." The way I'm reading that statement would mean that 2023 graduates who were born in the summer of 2005 can play in 13U Perfect Game tournaments. |

No changes have been made to the Age Cutoff from what we had in the fall. May 1st is the cutoff date, unless your player is in the appropriate grade. Additional documentation may be needed (Report Card, BC, etc.) to prove eligibility in the case of a protest.
For example: 13U Division Players who turn 14 prior to May 1 of the current season are not eligible unless they are in the 7th grade. Also, any player turning 15 prior to May 1 will not be eligible. |

Sorry to be so thick here, but what ages are covered under the "PG Youth group"? |
