Alright Moms...What are some of the must haves that you need when you go to the tournament weekends? Things that help you through the waiting, the heat, or whatever. Looking for ideas for the wife.
#1 must have- Camp Chair Music Tent or stand unbrella (rain, sun) Sunscreen Camera First Aid kit Misting handheld fan Cooler with water, gatorade Birth Certificates Cell phone to give updates to moms not there Cash for gate and concession Below 50 degrees- blanket/gloves/hot hands
barsred98 has a perfect list. I would add that I swiped my husband's camp chair. Dick's sells a version for about $20 that is a little bigger with some nice side pockets. The seat is a little taller and it's easier to jump up from during those exciting moments:) I'm tall and it can be hard to climb out of a standard camp chair.
Everything bars said plus... fruit (great snack when eating a full meal isnt possible) football tennis ball computer (to check brackets if you have a long wait, or update other parents not there, and update team website) bug spray Blankets (even if its not cold to spread out and have kids sit on) A good book
Below 50: portable heater
A lot of trial and error, there is MUCH more if you are bringing siblings! Also, if its an overnight, hotel stay the list gets a lot longer. And NEVER FORGET THE BATHING SUIT EVEN IN FEB. Lots of indoor pools!
This is a good start for the "new" travel baseball mom!
