Georgia Bombers Baseball will be holding 9u tryouts for the 2021-22 season on June 30th and July 8th.
We will have 3 teams at 9u for the 2021-22 season. We have two teams that played this past year at 8u and played at a high level, Bombers 8U (Alvarez) and Bombers 8U (Lanier). These two teams will play again at a high level, mainly competing in Perfect Game events. These teams will be coached again by, Georgia Bombers founder, Aaron Alvarez (Bombers 8U Marucci) and former UGA pitcher, Bo Lanier, (Bombers 8U Victus).
Both of these teams had great first years at 8u playing top notch competition each week in Training Legends and USSSA events.
8u (Alvarez) finished the season with a 14-12 record including 1 Championship, 1 Runner Up finish and three Semi Final appearances.
8u (Lanier) finished with a 10-10-2 record including 1 Championship, and 4 Semi Final appearances.
Our third team that we are adding (Bombers 8U) will be coached by Bill Harris. This team will play at a level that is best for the players to continue their development and continue to grow confidence in the game. This team will be great for players that played kid pitch this past year but need to play at a level as listed above and players that are coming on as first year kid pitch from the Rec level. Bill was an assistant this past year on Bombers 8u (Lanier) so he has the coaching experience with this age group and will also have the guidance of coaches Bo Lanier and Aaron Alvarez throughout the season. Bill also played at Georgia Tech and has been coaching youth baseball with his sons over the past 10 years.
All in all we are looking for 9 year olds that want to get after it on the field and want to develop. Development starts on the practice field and all three teams will practice more than we play.
