Georgia Bombers Baseball will be holding 12u tryouts for the 2021-22 season on July 13th and July 15th.
We will have two teams at 12u for the 2021-22 season and both teams will be Professionally Head Coached. Bombers 12u Marucci will Co-Head Coached by Aaron Alvarez (Founder of Georgia Bombers Baseball) and Johnny Magliozzi (Bombers Org. Pitching Coordinator and Co-Owner) along with assistants.
Bombers 12u Victus will be head coached by Jared Mihalik along with Stephen Neidigh helping aside him. Jared is coming off a collegiate career at Furman University where he just finished his degree. Stephen Neidigh has been with the Bombers for five seasons coaching 13U-15U teams and will help Jared with the development of our 12u program.
Both of our 2020-21 11u teams played at the highest level competing each weekend at Perfect Game events with 11u (Riepe) sprinkling in a few Training Legends.
Bombers 11u (Mentzer) compiled a record of 31-13-2 in the 2020-21 season with one Perfect Game Championship and three Semi Final appearances.
Bombers 11u (Riepe) currently has a record of 22-25-1 challenging their team week in and week out between Perfect Game and Training Legends events. They brought home one Training Legends Championship, 2 TL Runner Up finishes and 1 Perfect Game Silver Bracket Runner Up finish. They will conclude their season at the Training Legends World Series.
For the 2021-22 season our number one objective will be to prepare these two teams for Bombers 13u baseball and beyond. We will challenge them mentally and physically so they learn to play the game at the highest level possible. Development is a process and for that to work, we have to have players that buy into our philosophies. You will not find another 12u group of players that will be pushed harder than these two teams in the 2021-22 season. It will be up to each player and each family to put in the work it takes off the practice/game field to prepare for the next level of play.
Competition begins at practice! Each team will carry 12 players to create a competitive atmosphere. All playing time is 100% earned, not given. Teams will bat 10 in bracket play with 2 subs. If every player knows they are going to be in the lineup each game, they have nothing to work towards. If players don’t want to be a sub in bracket, you will see players rise above their playing level and compete harder than ever before.
During the fall, these two teams will practice together a majority of the time as we are looking to build a program, not one team. We will have optional practices during the week due to football then practice on Sundays as a team. We want our players to practice with speed and discipline. No team will be treated differently and all players will have the ability to take their game to another level.
