Tryouts for the 11U TG Diamondbacks (Strydom) will be held on July 11 from 6 - 8 PM on the turf field at Fullers Park in Marietta. Arrive 5:30 for registration/warmups.
1. The team will be returning for a second season as part of Todd Greene’s (TG) Dbacks organization, which will include professional instruction at practices.
2. The fall season will be light as we encourage the kids to play other sports. Practice Sundays and 3 to 4 Sunday-only tournaments. Fall practices will begin in August timeframe.
3. Winter workouts focusing on pitching, hitting, and conditioning in Dec/Jan.
4. Spring/summer season will consist of practice 2-3 days a week and local tournaments (approx. 12) from late Feb/early March through about mid-June.
5.Coaching philosophy - at this age the key areas of focus are for the kids to be having fun / enjoying the game, getting quality instruction, getting lots of playing time, and improving year over year.
