Just curious what others are doing to keep the little ones occupied during the weekend while at the park that aren't playing baseball. I'm not one to let my 5yo just run around and do what they want. Mainly for safety, but also not to interrupt others while watching their games. We do the whole coloring books, dolls, dsi, etc. just wondering if any one has the golden ticket.

I usually bring our portable DVD player with some movies for my 5 yr old and she likes the nintendo DS. Those two items can pre-occupy her for hours on end. I don't do it every weekend to her but when she does come I do have those items with some other stuff.

My players are the last ones at home, so I no longer have this to deal with, but when they were younger I kept special things aside that they could only play with when we were out. They looked forward to going out this way. Things sure are different than when I was a kid. I had a great time playing in the dirt:)

Momshell, mine LOVES the dirt! I bring other things so I don't have to take a trip to the bathroom for a mini scrub down...lol When I was a kid we didn't get really anything to play with. We just got sent into the woods and believe me there was alot to play with in the woods! lol

I have my child rate the concession stands and the park. She keeps track in a book and we look to see what park has the best food, candy, ice cream.

We used to take a suitcase on rollers full of toys that my youngest could drag around. She'd set up in the shade near the field and she was very popular with the other siblings.
