Cooler of iced down washrags for the boys and coaches. I keep a few ice packs in my personal cooler to put on the back of my neck if it gets too bad and LOTS of water to drink! |

This w/e we used frogg toggs for the boys and parents, as well as two 18volt battery operated fans and a pump up mister in boys dugout. First w/e for the fans and mister and the boys and coaches said they worked well. |

They work very well. Much neater than the old washcloth in the cooler.
My son has one for baseball, and my daughter has one for tennis. |

The mister is sold at Academy Sports. Worked good. Placed the mister heads on ceiling of dugout with fan blowing towards it, to blow the mist to the bench area. Lasted whole game, just pump it up a couple of times as they come off the field. |

Does the mist create a mess? Do items that are left on the bench like gloves and hats seem wet after a game of the mister running? What size bottle are you using, 2, 3 or 4 gallon? |

We use a four gallon bottle, like you would for your yard sprayer. No mess, with the heat it doesnt accumulate on anything. Nothing was wet after games. |

Alright baseball moms, yall are going to love christheump. You can make your own cool wraps that go around your neck real cheap. Cheap enough that you could probably supply your entire team and family members for for under $40.00.
I bought mine at Sports Authority for $6.00/each before finding out you can do it yourself.
I use these around my neck on hot days and they are easy to make....

Thanks Mad1. The hose that came with your kit? Did you add to it or leave it the original length? I'm seeing hose lengths of 10-20 feet. And most of them come with 4 sprayers. |

We had about 15 feet of hose length. Run hose up wall and mounted nozzles to top of dugout. Taping them up will work. Yes, ours had four nozzles also. We used two 10 " Ryobi 18 volt battery operated fans to hang on dugout fence to create air movement for kids to sit in front of. |

Boys, Coaches and parents should all start hydrating (water, not soda or beer) a few hours before they are going to be out in the heat. Don't wait until you are already out in the heat. |

Actually, I would suggest starting hydrating the night before. |
