The 12U Hobgood Copperheads will be hosting a joint open tryout on Saturday July 28 from 1:00-4:00 at Hobgood Park on Field #1 in Woodstock. Second round call backs will be Sunday afternoon.
We will be looking to play at the AAA/AA level while developing players and a team battling toward Cooperstown in the spring. We already hold a certificate for 2013 Cooperstown! We are looking for 6-7 team players with positive attitudes, players that love baseball and enjoy working to learn more. Players that give full effort, don’t fear making a mistake, accept instruction, support their teammates, and have fun. We want to see young men developing into great players. We have a competitive focus, but do not win at all costs, and use the baseball experience to learn lessons both on and off the field. Positive encouragement, support, and motivation from parents and families are fundamental and vital to this process.
In the fall we will work on strength and agility along with some practices so the boys are ready for a fall tournament should it correspond with everyone’s football and basketball schedules. Early 2013 will include some indoor instruction and practice to jump-start the season.
Pre-registration for this tryout is not essential but much appreciated and will save you some time Saturday. Please email s.mongold@bellsouth.net with players name, birthday, and parent/guardian contact. We will revert with the registration form.

Hobgood Park is located at 4740 Towne Lake Parkway in Woodstock, GA. The 12U Tryout will be held on Field 1 from 1:00-4:00. Hobgood has a total of 10 fields. There are 9 fields at our main facility with the 10th located close by on Carmel Elementary School property. The "Carmel Field” is used primarily for added practice space.

The concessions will not be open during tryouts so please bring plenty of water. We are looking forward to seeing you on the field!
