Even though this forum is most often used to opine a prognostication on teams and tournaments, I'd like to take the occasion of his birthday to wish Coach Kerry Stewart a very Happy Birthday. Coach Stewart has been leading the Atlanta Angels since the age of four. His integrity, vision, communication and motivation have been at the foundation of the success of our Atlanta Angels. Coach Stewart has been a fine example to our young men through his hard work, sacrifice and selflessness. Lao Tzu wrote: “A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves.” This quote would be the perfect description of our manager.
On the baseball side, in four years Coach Stewart has led the Angels to a overall 206-62-2 record, a 76 percent winning record. While playing up a year, our Angel’s record in those four years was 47-50-1. While playing at our own age Coach Stewart has led the Angels in four years to a 159-12-1 record, a 92 percent winning record. In those four years Coach Stewart helped his team win four straight USSSA State Championships and three straight World Series Championships. In 31 tournaments played at their own age since six, the Angels have won 26 Championships or 84 percent of the time the Angels have won the tournament.
Happy Birthday Coach Kerry Stewart!! You have been a great leader and an inspiration to us all. And we are extremely proud of the man you are and the way you have represented our team and our young men. Thank you for everything you have done, all you are doing and for the tough task you have ahead of you. We could not have been blessed with a better leader. May God continue to bless you, your health, family, friends, finances.
