On behalf of the East Cobb Stallions, I wanted to be the first to congratulate Greg Lomax on his 500th post. This is quite an achievement and one that needed to be recognized. It breaks Billy “the Blogger” Washington’s mark of 499 posts set in 2003. Blogger’s untimely death due to writer’s cramp kept him from hitting the coveted 500 mark.
Congratulations Greg!

I want to see a urine test. Rumor has it he was using HGH or Steriods, I will look for his name today when the report comes out on Baseball, Discussion Forums and steroids. |

Thanks Scott. It's kind of like when I won the "Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest" at work. Everyone's got to be good at something. Other than spitting watermelon seeds, apparently giving my opinion seems to be my specialty. (You may notice I did not say giving good answers was my specialty, just opinions.) |

What may be more impressive than the 500 posts is the 0.6 per day rate at which it was done. That means out of 365 day years, he has posted 219 per year. That would put my 1000th post guess around March of 2010. |

Looks like I am going to have to turn it up a little. I think I could pace it out to 1 per day. |

Now that you've put that key stat out for all to see, surely he will increase the intensity and be at the 1K mark by 12/31/08. Always good to read his opinions. I have to say that I agree with about 90%. The other 10% I don't understand anyway and probably never will. |

Lomax is up to .62 per day now. Thanks to all of the poster's for giving him subject matter to break the important 1,000 mark sooner than I had originally projected. |

Strike2, It does not look like I am going to make the 1000 mark by 12/31/2008, but I am 4 away from 775.
I guess my productivity has wained.
We are going to have to pick up the intensity of the topics. |

No, I guess I should go back and look at it. Back during that time, the discussions were a lot more spicy. |

Greg -
We are all fortunate to read your posts and comments. You often provide commentary that is outside the box, but always in the best interests of the game and kids playing the game. Keep challenging the parties that contribute to these blogs lines without thinking past their own interests.
I am sure when Stan started this site he hoped to find dads with the passion and integrity you possess, not to mention the energy and sleeping issues your time stamps suggest.
It is easy to see why your kid is such a great young man, not a bad fastball either. Question - where you gifted like Nathan or are you enjoying watching his development with curiosity as to where his great talents were seeded?
Keep up the copy! |

Strike_2, I guess I just let work interfere with baseball too much this past year. I will try harder in 09. |
