Georgia Select, Windward Baseball, and GRA merge to form powerhouse.

Georgia Select in Loganville, along with Windward Baseball and GRA, both in Alpharetta, announced today that they will join forces to create Premier Baseball of Georgia. The merger, strategically developed to create a more potent, competitive, and comprehensive travel baseball experience, will take affect this May. Individually each of these programs has their own baseball facilities, competitive teams and unique capabilities. Georgia Select has vast knowledge and experience in college advisory services and baseball performance training, Windward has an outstanding instructional offering, and GRA has a 17,000 sq. ft. baseball facility, the only one of its kind in North Atlanta. The merger, however, will enable the 3 programs to offer a more robust, further reaching, and far more superior baseball programming experience than any other travel baseball program in the area.
When asked about the merger, Paul Clewell, Co-Owner of GRA, said that “the merger with Georgia Select and Windward Baseball provides us with the capability to recruit elite players from a greater geographic area, allowing us to compete at both the regional and national levels across all age groups.” Scott Ward, CEO of Georgia Select, added, “With the rising cost of travel baseball and the inherent challenges associated with fielding competitive teams, this merger will allow players to play at the level they can be most successful and improve their skill sets to become better High School players while preparing for college or professional baseball.” Charles Spillers of GRA added, “The value for families is in the balance of quality training/teams and the rising costs of travel baseball.” When asked about his role within the newly formed merger, Eric Ruben, an associate scout with the Atlanta Braves and co-owner of Windward Baseball stated “our merger with GRA and Georgia Select provide us with unprecedented coaching expertise, a deeper level of baseball acumen, and access to performance and workout resources unmatched in the Atlanta area.”
The mission of Premier Baseball of Georgia is to provide an affordable, first-class baseball organization to help aspiring student athletes play at the next level. By creating a culture of excellence, Premier Baseball of Georgia’s vision is to transcend other travel programs by creating a community and environment that transforms players into the best they can be both on and off the field.
