| Down to the final 4: CBA Bulldogs from California vs. Evoshield from Richmond Va and Banditos from Houston vs. East Coast Sox Prime from Ridgeland MS. The last of the local Ga teams got knocked out in the quarters. I guess that this might sound like "sour grapes" but all 4 of these teams are regional/state/multiple state teams. I guess people can say the same thing about the ecb Astros but this year they only have one out of stater; the rest are Atlanta metro players. While our local boys played competitively, kind of tough playing teams that are put together with the best of the best, drawing from hundreds of miles and out of state. I guess that, if you are going to go to the expense of traveling to Ga for a National tourney, you want to perform well and come loaded. I can understand that. The Banditos from Houston have a kid from McDonough Ga on the roster! But, hats off to these teams; I saw all of them play and they are very impressive to say the least! |
