Will anyone be able to compete with the 14U Astros this year? They are pretty deep, one dad states they have 9 pitchers that throw 80+ MPH. That's better than almost all of the H.S. varsity teams in the area!

Who's the best of the rest?

Astros are good, but beatable. Doubt very seriously they have 9 that throw 80+. Looking at their roster and I see mostly returning players from the 13u. Excellent pitchers, but 9 that throw 80+ is a stretch.

As far as the best of the rest, the usual suspects will be back. Effingham, Red Sox Elite, Monarchs, Braves, Bandits. Team Wilson is much improved and should be considered as well.

Like to see others opinion on this strand...................................... As well as what do parents of 14 year olds in their final year of junior high plan on doing next year? Play High school only, play w/feeder teams for their high school, attempt to get on w/ elite teams such as the Astros. Farm your kid out to perfect game teams?

No Bandits team this year. Not sure how many of the Monarchs are returning. One is playing 13U with us.

What about the team Aaron started over at Grand Slam, Team Georgia. Looks like a well put together team.

Aside from the Astros, I don't think you'll see the true talent of the 14u's until May. Many of the teams have high school freshman who are playing down and may be playing on their high school teams through April. Until teams have their full rosters available, it will be difficult to measure just how good they are

One or so to the 14U Astros,a couple to the EC Titans, one to the 13U Astros, etc.

As to exactly why, I would say Tony Dudek would have to provide that insight.

Dudek is now a coach with the East Cobb Titans.
