Can anyone give me their opinion as to who is expected to be the strongest 8u kid pitch team this coming season?

Thanks

Don't know about the East Cobb area this season, but my experience with Kid Pitch tells me if you're looking for the strongest 8U teams they're in DeKalb & Henry Counties. AABC has the strongest "recreational" Kid Pitch program in the country and most of the parks in those counties have affiliation with AABC. Teams that play AABC also play USSSA tournaments throughout the year.

If you're asking because you have an 8U team, it'd be a good idea to affiliate yourself with AABC as an independent or jump in a league to make yourself eligible for postseason play that in years past has had teams from California, New Mexico, New York, Connecticut, Indiana and Knoxville and Puerto Rico. The World Series has been in McDonough, GA the last several years.

The last two seasons, the Georgia Yard Dogs program has produced Georgia's best teams. Expect the Georgia Yard Dogs Black and Gresham Park Red Sox to be among the best along with the Elite Outlaws (might be playing under different name this season).

Be on the look out for tournaments that have Team Miami in them, as they came to Atlanta twice last season, including the USSSA WS where they went undefeated. They say they'll be back again this year for sure. They play out of Tiamiami park, the same as the 11U Miami Playmakers (Cooperstown 10U Runner-Up and Pony WS Champs).

Who were some of the best 7U coach pitch allstar teams last season in the Cobb Area?
Who were the best 8U coach pitch allstar teams last year also? Just wondering if any of these teams are going to convert to travel this season. I know it's tough to jump up and compete, but I have seen a few teams that could do it.

8u EC Longhorns should be the top team out of the Cobb area, they have a few kids that played up last year and have kid pitch experience, which obviously is crucial at that age.

And as always the Yarddogs should be the team to beat from the ATL and if the fall is any indication, the Elite OutLaws should be the team to beat from the southside.

You wont see any out of Gwinnett. We start kid pitch at age 7, but families are tied to the County Rec/AllStar program, so no independent travel teams till age 10. Most 8U kid pitch will be from inside the perimeter, South, or East Cobb. 1 or 2 in Forsyth.
