On paper you would have to list the Astros and Vipers as the favorites. They are not a lock as their are a lot of other very good teams in the tourny.

This is the first time this age group hasn't sold out, I believe.

I have no idea who is going to win either division, but I think it's a good idea that they do it.

Oh, what the hey.

Astros

Hobgood Storm

The only thing we know right now is it will be the team that wins that last game. .

Dude (Greg) - You are just trying to get to 1,000 posts with those kinds of "great" observations I expect more from you.

Best of luck to all of the Georgia 13U Teams at the Slugfest this weekend!!

I have to take the "cheapies" when I can. Especially since you are paying for the celebration party when I get to 1000.

A)Kennesaw?

B)Bstros

C)Longhorns?

D)Vipers

Vipers over Bstros in Final.

C'mon Greg, quit being such a politician...

Chandler is there something wrong with your "A" button or is "B" your letter of the month?

Greg,

Congrats to you and the Astros on a hard fought win in the championship...both teams played great. That game was everything it was billed to be. You guys earned your "A"...

This tournament solidified, in my opinion, what I've been saying all along... the top three (I'm including Bulldog Baseball, congrats to them on a tourney victory this weekend too) are way ahead of everyone else, but after that there are a number of teams that could jockey from weekend to weekend as "the best of the rest." If this tourney was played again next weekend with the same teams I think the final two would be the same , but the standings for the others could easily be flip-flopped.

Kudos to Doug Bailey and his staff on another superbly managed tournament. I'm looking forward to the Memorial Day wood bat tournament he'll be hosting as well... It was great last year and should be even better this year!

What happened in AAA? The bracket shows that the EC Braves beat Norcross in the quarterfinals, but then shows Norcross winning the final game. Is the bracket wrong and Norcross actually beat the Braves?

Jeff,
That was a great game and what we hoped for, a great hard-fought game. Every Championship game should be like that.

It should be interesting in two weeks with the Atlanta Super NIT. Some of the teams have already been playing more than we (teams from GA) have so it will be interesting to see how we adjust and respond.

Never mind. Norcross won.
