This post is actually for PaPa but anybody thats played this team can help me. Papa I see that the TPSA Bandits beat Alabama Attack 11-3 and 8-0 the Bandits (you guys) on the other hand beat them 3-2, can you explain ? I would honestly like to know your thoughts on the Attack. We played them once last year and beat them pretty good but we put it to them only late in the game. If I remember correctly they had a good lefty that threw hard and the hook. Just fishing !!

10BB: Comparing scores against mutual opponents does not always tell the full story. In our case we were attempting to save our pitching for the game against Mizuno and pitched our #4 pitcher who pitched a great game or we might not have had the opportunity to even play Mizuno. We faced a good pitcher and did not hit well to boot and this caused the low score. Baseball is always a lot about match ups. What pitcher is going and does he have his stuff that game is always important. I think the Attack has a good solid team but do not feel that they could beat us consistently although they certainly have the team that could beat us if things went their way. We save our pitching for teams like the Bombers, the Stixx, 643, Kennesaw, Mizuno, Germantown Giants, Knoxville Stars, and Cincy Flames. My point is this and that is you cannot tell a lot about the game just by looking at the score as you need a lot more information to really know what happened.

Thats all I was attempting to do. I knew you would give us an accurate assesment of this team. I was in no way even coming close to comparing apples to oranges. Go look on the USSSA rankings at the games we've played and you will see alot of close games and just like you said we were " attempting to save our pitching". I was looking for a heads up on this team. A 3-2 ballegame with you guys equals a pretty good team regaurdless if yall were saving pitching, they (Attack) still had to play defense against one of the best teams in the nation.

I would also like to know how Kennessaw is doing, not much play in USSSA and 3-2 doesn't do them justice. I for one can promise this is one of the best teams in the country and no one should take them lightly. They have a lefty that in my eyes is as good as it gets at 10u pitching. Every time we've played them it's been close. PaPa looks like we will get a shot at Germantown as it looks as if they will be coming to Pensacola for the ASP USSSA Last Chance S-NIT. Not looking for a winner her PaPa just a score Bay Bombers vs Germantown Giants. I think you know both of these teams and could give me a pretty close score. Not a prediction because I know your not a predicter, this would be an educated guess

My heart would go to the Bay Bombers and my mind also tells me that the Bombers is the better of these two teams. One thing I can tell you for sure is that they are not accustomed to playing great teams week in and week out and that will hurt them in big games such as the Bombers. Bombers are like the Bandits and do not dodge the tougher competition and this is so helpful in the big games. I will keep in touch and let you know how the other teams are doing are we play them.

10BB, we played them last weekend in pool play at the Nations tourney. Very solid team in every aspect. Definitely one of the best teams in GA if not the SE. Very good group of coaches too.

jc1964 is talking about Kennesaw and Papa was talking about Germantown. It would surprise me if Germantown could handle the Bombers but the baseball can bounce funny some games. 8 out of 10 times Bombers should win. This is not prediction and based on the evidence of playing them both.

Thats nice to read PaPa thanks for the heads up. Looks like a great tourny building in Muscle Shoals. You guys just couldn't leave it alone could you. Know its gonna be just that much harder to win. I look forward to seeing (playing) you guys again. Are you going to make the trip PaPa? Do you know anything about the fields?

Haven't heard anything about the fields but you can bet that wild horses couldn't keep me from this one. I am going to find out from Coach if we have a chance of getting in.

PaPa; I read that the Florence Sports Complex was just built, finished in March. It cost $11 million to build and this will be the first tournament at the complex.

I will let you know all about the complex after we play this weekend. I can't wait. We have been rained out so much this year it is hard to get into a rhytym. This should be a real good test for our team as most of the Super NIT feature the best of the best. Has anyone heard if the Tennessee Super NIT was played and what were the results. If the Bandits could pull this off are there any corporate sponsors out there that wants to help send us to Disney. Withot the government bail out or sponsors Disney will almost be impossible.

Rain in TN stopped it. They got in 2 games each. I think the TN Bulldogs were declared the winner.

THe Stixx did not win the Tournament out right in Valley Alabama. The Stixx and the Sandtown Redsox both were undefeated and met up in the Championship game. The game was cancelled due to bad weather. The Stixx won the Tournament by default because of the pool play, The stixx and the Redsox gave up the same amount of runs but the Stixx scored more against questionable teams. Please look at USSSA and the tournament in Valley, Alabama and see for your self and decide.

Yes, I saw the brackets too and although I am not happy to play you in pool play, I am always happy to be on the field with such a quality team. We will try and bring our "A" game so that it will be a game we will all enjoy. You probably won't see much in pool play as we will need to save what little we have for the brackets. I hope the fields are as nice as I have been hearing and I also hope that the fences are set at the right distance.

10BB: Try not to hurt any of our players as we will be playing this week with only 9 players available. We did this for 1/2 of last year and it is nerve wracking. Every time one of them slides or dives for a ball you get nervous. What hotel are you guys at. It would be neat if we get close together and maybe do something off the field and let the kids get to know each other better.

Good Luck and my prayer is that we meet the Bombers in the finals and we both play our best games.

Papa

I say we both beat them down, go to the State Park and let our kids play their hearts out. The Bandits will play anything your guys want to play. I have never seen any game that the Bandits didn't have fun playing. Look forward to seeing you once I find out where we are staying I will let you know. Hear you might have a surprise for us this weekend and just to let you know you have found 2 fine young men that can play some ball. You will love them both. I hope we get to play as the weather is not looking good for tommorrow. We have had so many rain outs that it is getting frustrating.

PaPa I know how you feel about borrowed players but these two boys will be making the Disney trip with us if we qualify. We would love to take #20 with us to Disney as we are looking to beat Mizuno. We would also love to take the other lefty you guys have. Just a great thought.

How do your parents react when you pick up a player for a tournament? I have a chance to pick up two kids for Panama City and they would put us over the top( not to say we would be at your level but we would be dang good). Both of them pitch and throw high 50"s low 60"s and they both hit for power with good speed. How do you work them in? My parents seem to get upset when we bring on new kids.Just curious!

10BB: You have absolutely picked up two fine young men and Papa has not even the slightest problem with you getting them for Disney. After an extensive search and I promise you we looked high and low these are the same 2 we will use for Cooperstown. Even with them we will only take 11 players and that will probably be the smallest roster there. From the beginning we let everyone know that due to the number of games in such a short period and with our small roster that we would pick up 2 players for Cooperstown and it just so happens that you asked the same 2 about Disney. I will go even a step further and state for the record that Papa has had a dream or revelation (whatever you call them things) and I have seen these 2 in a Bandit uniform on a permanent basis. These 2 kids are not only 2 of the finest baseball players we have seen but after meeting with them and their Dad's (both are coaches) we feel are 2 of the finest kids and families we could have found. You know that I have a great amount of respect for the way the Bombers play the game and you also know that we all have to do what we feel is best for our kids. Looking at the Bombers is almost like looking in the mirror for the Bandits. Good luck
