OLDMANMJ "Triple Crown is allowing the 4 teams to continue the Tournament at their earliest convenience. All four teams agreed to finish the tournament soon. Triple Crown will pay for umpires to finish, gave awards to the coaches to hand out to tournament winners, sadly the weather got in the way of a great finish. Great job by Home Plate in an exciting game with the Chiefs. Kudos to Triple Crown to finish the Tournament."

I feel this says alot about TC.

TC's pitching rules...great!!!
Ranking system is always going to be subjective because it's based on a particular team's participation in that organization. There is no fair or objective way to do other than having tourney directors evaluate teams based on thier body of work inside and outside each organization.

See my earlier post.

Old School - I agree that TC rules develop pitching depth and I like that too, but still contend that coaches stay with a pitcher too long with 2 outs and it labors their arms. This could be easily solved with the 1/3 inning per out rule.

Triple Crown Sports is the best thing going right now. I really think it's because of the "Mom & Pop" approach Tony & his people take with the events along with the great facilities they secure.

TRIPLE CROWN PROS:
Not oversaturated with events running every weekend.
Web site as nice as any and is updated more often than most others.
Previous year game results accessible.
Tourney Director on site, hands on. All information readily available.
Elite team interest.
GOOD PITCHING RULES!!
NO CLASSIFICATIONS!!
NO POINT SYSTEM!!
JUST PLAY BALL!!

The pitching rules almost make up for any "lop-sided" pools or "easy draws" teams get. In order to win a highly competitive Triple Crown Sports event you have to have pitching depth and good strategy with Bullpen moves. It's kinda like a best 4 out of 7 series. In most cases you have your pitchers for one game. Two pitchers for two games if the series stretches out. You need five legitimate "starters" or six "relievers".

I like USSSA and Grand Slam as well, but more so for the variation of teams you get playing their events than the organization itself. USSSA has more interest from more teams than any other organization, so it's very attractive. A USSSA National event also almost guarantees playing the most competiive teams in the country.
