It wouldn't be the Battle in the South if the weather did not participate. |

Our older team played there a few years back and it was sleeting during our game. The weather there can be pretty unpredictable that is for sure. |

Both times Papa has been it has rained the entire time we were there. This is a premiere tournament that most teams from across the country want to participate in. It should made a priority to move this tournament to much better facilities to accomodate these teams. |

looks like the weather got them again. Tournament Championship bracket trimmed to 8. Consolation bracket cancelled. Looks like 2-1 teams EC Astros and EC Longhorns are done. PC Vipers looks to be the only GA team to make the Championship bracket |

One definition of Insanity is to do the same thing over and over and to expect a different result. I view the participants in the Battle in the south the same way.
I'd rather win a State Championship, Cooperstown or a National Championship than a tournament in May; but that's just me. |

No one made it to the Championship bracket. The rain won.
The teams that are probably mad are the ones that only finished one pool game. Bulldog Baseball did not finish their 3rd pool game. |

Battle in the South is about bragging rights. That is why you see so many teams load up with players when they come. Team Anderson, if I am not mistaken, only had 1 or 2 of their regular players there this weekend. Most were HB Nitro players. Megastars picked up a couple if I am not mistaken, as well.
I would like to see the tournament go to 2 pool games and all teams seed to elimination play. Maybe have it a little later in the season might help the weather situation. |

There is no doubt there was a LOT of talented players and teams gathered in Rockwood this past weekend! Saw some Very good games take place. We happened to participate in a NAIL BITER that my boy, his teammates and coaches will most probably remember forever. I wouldn't have traded that for staying home ...no way. Yes, the weather may have put a damper in the end but the games played were well worth it to us...That said...they could think about relocating |

Even though the rain washed bracket play out, the Stallions vs. Banditos game was worth the price of admission. |

The Vipers/Team Anderson game was a very exciting pitcher's duel. Came down to the end. Great play by both teams.
The Stallions/Banditos game was the epitomy of what that tournament is about. Great teams fighting it out hard.
I don't think the Bandito's left any friends behind, though. The only people they did NOT offend were the ones that did not play them yet. |

Dem Bandito Black boys were full grown!! If half that team hasn't peaked in size, I would hate to think what size they will be at 15. Most of them parked behind the park do believe Way to ROLL Stallions...that was a heck of a fight to the end!! |
