I coach a 12U team based out of Valdosta called the Georgia Batmen. We are going to Cooperstown this Summer. Our certificate is for Week #4 which generally falls the last week of June. We do not have an 11U team, but do have younger teams in our program so I want to hold onto the certificate for years 2018 and beyond. However, as a fundraiser for our teams, I am considering hosting a small tournament (limited to 4 teams) in Valdosta for 11U teams who do not have a certificate but wish to go to Cooperstown and borrow our certificate in 2017. To avoid too much drama and teams loading up for the event, the certificate winner will be determined by a drawing so all participants would have an equal and fair shot at it and enjoy a fun tournament in the process. I am not sure of the date yet.......most likely a one day event on April 9th. $400 entry fee. Let me know of any teams who may be interested....1st 4 to register/pay are in.
