Hi, I'm new to travel baseball and I have a few questions I was hoping someone could answer. Our son joined a 12U team and I've noticed in tournaments that we are playing against teams that are far above our team level. We are an A team and we have been playing against AAA teams. Great teams but they are easily beating our boys and I've been told that these teams often "play down" to get wins for their power rankings. How is this allowed and why would a coach put his team in an unfair game just for a "win"? Are there rules about this or is this common practice now. Is this just all about winning now at any cost?
