Questions... why would a Tournament Director cancel ALL games outside of LakePoint at 9am (Saturday)??? At 9:15am, the rain had stopped in the areas where games were to be played and less than an INCH of rain fell. What happened to a 2 or 3 hour delay??? I'm writing this message at 1:50pm and there's been NO rain since 9:15am. Weather reports up until AT LEAST 5pm indicate NO more rain. Why was a team scheduled for an 8am game at the Cartersville field and then a 10:15 game at LakePoint (games being 2 hours long)??? Why are a number of teams getting two or three games in and a hand-full of teams NONE??? I also understand there will be NO bracket play or championship. With that being said, teams paid $495 to be in a Tournament that can now be described as scrimmage games.
Understanding that weather is unpredictable-- have a back-up plan in place-- especially if you know WAY ahead of time bad weather would be coming on Saturday. Revise the Tournament schedule into a TWO game minimum. Have alternate fields that drain sufficiently secured or on standby.
