I'm looking for a new hitting coach in North Atlanta. Currently doing 30 - 60 minutes weekly. Would love something more frequent over the winter, but open to recommendations for a solid instructor. Thank you in advance!

Get your kid a good tee and a net to hit into. Tee work everyday will be way more productive that constant lessons. If the only time your kid puts in the work is at a paid lesson change sports.

Hi my name is Mike Ross. I am a former professional baseball player. I was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2006. I now give hitting, fielding, and speed lessons to players in Atlanta and surrounding areas. I also train strength and conditioning which most overlook and is very important and essential to being successful at playing the game. I feel my strength as trainer is being able to break a players' mechanics all the way down and whipping out all the flaws while making small adjustments to ensure the player is using correct form (whether it be hitting, fielding, or running)that will give them the best chance to compete at the highest level. Sometimes guys do too much and simple adjustments with plenty of reps could solve their issue. Same goes for fielding. I have drills that will train the hitter to keep his bat head in the hitting zone longer, which is most hitters problem. Hitters whose bat head are in and out the zone too quick tend to roll the ball over quite often and are hitting weak grounders instead of driving the ball. keeping the bat head in the hitting zone longer gives the hitter a better chance at driving the ball. On the other hand I will train my fielders the proper foot work for fielding every type of ground ball. I tell my fielders all the time " You field the ball with your feet not your hands". as far as speed goes I led the league in stolen bases every year in pro ball. I will also include Base Stealing in speed training. Every player I have train have seen results the first day. Hopefully you will allow me to fix your son/daughter hitting, fielding, speed, and strength and conditioning problems. Let their problems be my problems. Thank You I'll look forward to hearing from you. just give me a call or text 662-288-9039
