Some important tryout information: 1. Player age is determined by the cut-off date of 4/30/19. 2. Players are encouraged to bring a snack with them to the tryout clinic. The concession stand on-site will be open as well for all tryout dates. 3. If you have additional questions or cannot make the assigned tryout date for your child's age group, please contact David Carr (678.520.7334) for possible alternate times earlier in the summer (note: alternate times NOT guaranteed). 5. The clinic cost for all ages is $95.00.

The 9u team will be coached by Matt Conner and James Martinez. Matt and James are finishing up the Season with the Oregon Park Sharks. The Sharks had a successful travel season this year in 8u Kid Pitch with a record of 28-17-1. We competed in the Major division and plan on doing the same this upcoming year. Most of the Major division teams at 9u will already have a year of kid pitch under their belt so kid pitch experience is preferred but not required.
A huge positive to the 643 program is the ability to utilize their professional staff during practices. The 9u Cougars' budget will be built to include bringing in these paid professionals.
We will place high priority on player development. Coach Conner and Martinez both have players in travel ball at older age levels. We understand that 9u can be a transformative year with all the rule changes. With proper coaching/training, we will ensure that we develop each player to the best of their ability. We will teach kids to respect the game and each other. We realize that many life lessons can be taught on the baseball field.
We will have a light fall schedule with 2-4 fall tournaments. We encourage kids to play fall and winter sports. We will practice indoors in the winter and begin playing tournaments in Feb/March ending in June with a beach world series location.
Please feel free to email Coach Matt Conner with questions. mattconner711@gmail.com
