The Georgia Aces Baseball Club will be holding tryouts on August 8th (6:00 – 8:00 p.m.) and August 14th (1:00 – 4:00). The tryouts will be held at New Georgia Ballpark in Dallas, Georgia. This will be the second year of the Georgia Aces. The team had six FINAL FOUR finishes, including 2 tournament Championships and a runner-up finish during the 2010 season.
The 2011 Georgia Aces will be lead by 2nd year head coach Ryan Smith and assistant coach Tyler Wade. Coach Smith worked at the high school level for 5 years with a focus on infield and hitting. Coach Wade worked at the high school level for 2 years and focused on outfield and hitting. The team will add a pitching coach and a bench coach within the next week. Nobody on the Georgia Aces coaching staff has a child on the team. The goal of the staff is to provide a positive place to instruct young athletes and teach the game of baseball. Practices will be held at New Georgia Ballpark and at our private indoor facility.
We expect to play at AAA/Major level and look for the athletes that are up for the challenge and commitment. The Georgia Aces will play about 13 tournaments along with several scheduled games.
