Anyone with insight on the current status of the ECB Longhorns? I'm assuming getusome3ecb is referring to them as his 5th best team; all other teams he thinks will be great in 2011 are from ECB with the exception of the Georgia Road Runners (HANDS DOWN THE BEST TRAVEL CLUB TO REPRESENT GEORGIA THIS CENTURY).

Researched this club and they went 0-6 vs. USSSA Major competition in 2010 losing by an average of 10.5 runs/game. Their roster appears to have only two new additions. Anyone know something that contributes to getusome3ecb's evaluation of team talent? Have they jumped ahead of the ECB Seminoles in representing the program?

Is the Sharon Springs Baseball club intact for 2011? My initial thought is they'll be more competitive than both the Longhorns and 45's.

Did the 45's drop the "Colt" from their name?

What's the make up of this new ECB Pride club? Where are the ECB White Sox this season? Who are the Extreme? Is this the Hobgood club?

Some good predictions but, really?

- we're predicting the Top 5 in August when the majority of the teams dont have a final roster yet
- and kids are still jumping teams like it's a pick up basketball game
- and parents are making decisions based on what seemingly desperate coaches are telling them
- and, at least one team listed wont even make it through the season still together.

What is definitely true is that as a whole the teams from East Cobb will all be stronger than last year. We (Longhorns) have significantly improved, the 45s have improved and they were already good.... and the Astros and Braves are really good.

Outside of ECB the RoadRunners will always be there as well as a few others. Should be a great season! Now let's go play some football.

See you in March!

It's Fall ball season guys. Player personal often changes as you know. There are many talented players and teams in the state of GA and it's too early in my opinion to start rankings. Some teams have not yet started fall ball games. Slow down!!!!!!

The longhorns have added to the team. They finished stronger last year and have picked up some kids from the 2009 Longhorns team that will tighten up the defense and add some runs. It is a reach but i think they will impress people. The whitesox have combined with some kids from the colt 45s and webb bridge to make the 45s. As for the pride and extreme i dont think there is much depth with the pride however the extreme is the hobgood team and they will be decent as usual. I agree its to early to rank them but i think these teams will impress. as for the RR;s being the best program check out the ECB resume and alumni and get back to me

Coach thanks for the update on your club. It's good to read factual info on hear as much or more than opinion...I can agree it's way early to be crowning teams. It really sucks when people throw a bias spin on it like it's fact in the process.

Keep us posted on your club, as things progress. It'd be nice to see teams kinda blog on hear even if it means just posting fall activity. "Team Smyrna working in the cage this weekend" "played double header vs. so and so" stuff like that. Never understood why everyone keeps all the real information secret and blabs about ungrounded opinions.

Not going to rank, but in response to above....

Pride...Down to 8 on their roster after a couple of defections, can go 1 of 2 ways...Breakup, or pick up 5 more along the way.

Seminoles....Broke up after Cooperstown, team scattered all over ECB on other rosters. The ones I know for sure landed on Longhorns (3), Extreme (1) Astros (1) Pride (1) Titans (2)

Extreme...Hobgood team coming to ECB. Lost 2 very good players, picked up 4 strong players to offset. Pitching and defense will be strong.

Specifically called the Roadrunners a Club. Ya, know complementing a team doesn't also make it an attack against ECB.

They have represented Georgia in National events better than any team going back to the early 2000's. They've runner-up at Cooperstown and won the 14U Elite 24. The list of accomplishments for this group go on. Think they did a lot damage on national scene actually playing up an age group making it more impressive.

Even the 1st year 13U club made it to the semi-finals at this past season's Elite 32, outlasting the other two Georgia representatives (you know who). Not to mention the 2010 12U group won a National Championship in their 1st year of existence (2007 NABF 9U Champs).

Coach Corbin and crew get it and continue to expose players to instruction/training that get's boys roster spots at legitimite college programs around the Southeast. He's on the site from time to time, so if he choses to get you familiar with his clubs successes he can do so. But the Roadrunners don't deserve to be disrespected and snubbed by casual fans and distant onlookers. Let's keep this as fact-based as possible guys and gals! If you got current or ancient info let's share it...

What of the two players Hogbood lost?

Is Kennesaw Xtreme in the mix anywhere?

Georgia Academy Red is making some roster changes, at least three players have moved on.

The Southern Jaguars (Spygate's #4 ranked club) are no more, confirmed by manager Ron Smith in a post on this site August 16th.

Getusome, not sure why you have this animosity toward our program. You can't stand when someone outside our organization talks fondly of us. ec is a great place for exposure. But taking credit for their resume and their alumni?? Come on....People say, "well you all do the same thing east cobb does" and that is true to a point, but we don't claim that we are the best organization in the country and sure don't claim you will get drafted higher or get more money when drafted here than over there, we just get the kids together, teach and play ball. Scouts will find the kids. All I know is if you have a pitcher that shuts down one of the "superpowers", you don't think a scout is going to give him an extra check on his list than playing on that "superpower"? Just one example of many...And for those that don't understand my opposition toward ec, I will quickly explain, when my 10 year old son chose to play elsewhere, he was told he would never be welcome back to ec if we went to play with the RoadRunners, and we are going into year 3 and my son couldn't have made a better decision.

And the ECB/Roadrunner fued continues!! They are both GREAT programs, can we just move on from that!!!!???? So, if we are making early prediction, I would have to give the #1 spot to both the Roadrunners and the Astros, but it is way to early to tell. I agree with lattapop, look out for the underdogs! Talent is spread all over so far!

The reason for that is simple... It's recruiting season and anything you say can and will be used against you...

I find the discussion about top 5 amusing.... My daughter wrote a song recently... "Just Can't Wait" You guys "just can't wait" to run your opinions up the flagpole. There are some teams out there not on this list who "just cant wait" to play the games.

Lot's of talent out there that is still looking for a home or from what I read, still to be cut from ECB. If these players find the right teams, then these lists won't amount to much...

Clearly Astro's RoadRunners and Braves should be expected to be top five teams. Anything past that is pure speculation.

Shhhhhh. We're just a bunch of country boys that do this baseball thing still for fun.LOL. It's better for us to remain off the radar for as long as possible. Let the others beat each other up.
From what I hear there is some new additions to both the Gamers and Chilidogs taking place as we speak. Not all the world wants to play at the big baseball factories and the southside will "RISE AGAIN". LOL
You got to admit it's worth logging on everyday to see fans bashing
each other. I know its all fun and that's why I keep reading.

I understand that I'm new to this forum posting thing but is their not any other teams or programs in Ga. that has the baseBALLs to speak up about their teams???

All I read about is the same old things. There has to be a proud AAA/AA parent with opinions about winning AAA/AA titles, tourneys or rankings. I like the idea of a underdog playin above expectations. These powerhouses didn't just happen. Kids played somewhere, got attention, moved on. Not all the world starts at "Major". It's always good to hear about a rising program.
I know....major is where we strive to reach but it has to start somewhere. Don't belittle these teams, they might have that starting short stop or #4 hitter that you've needed waiting for their chance.
Again just wanting to stir the pot and see if any new cream rises.

Seminole..your right on..Most if not all started off playing for a lower classification team... We are an AA/AAA team, but we enjoy like heck playing teams in our division.Sometimes we can scare the big boys for several innings, but they usually wear us down by the late innings..Its all good.

I completely agree with seminole tony.. Most of the teams who were classified as AAA this past spring were Major teams the prior year. AAA classification had good competition and teams were able to compete in AAA,Open & Major classified tournaments. Teams at AAA level I am familiar with defeating Majors.

Gamers Blue(AAA)defeated Majors
-Gamers Red
-Signature Park Hawks
-Homeplate Chilidogs

Atlanta Icons(AAA)defeated Majors
-Gamers Red
-Ga.Academy Red
-Hobgood Xtreme
-Chain Yankees
-Webb Bridge Athletics.

Good programs outside of ECB classified lower but prove that its about how you come and play the game on game day. ECB Whitesox was losing to the Icon team, but hit a walk off homer that gave the win in a good game. MANN!! I can't believe my brother has gotten me hooked on this forumGotta love the kids

Forgot to mention Icons also defeated the Southern Jaguars...ecpride I agree it was a very very good game. Both teams played well on both sides..I was impressed with the middle infield of the ATL Icons team. Marquise Grissom Baseball(MGBA) is putting together 2 13U teams...this should be interesting given the Jags have disbanned and I hear the Icons may have lost a couple of players. How many ECB teams will there be for 13U
