So who do we all think is moving from AAA to Majors this year? Who do you all see moving to the major division or deserves to be moved from AAA to Majors.
The 5 that come to mind for me are:
1. Chain Dirtdawgs - This team was 12-10 against Major teams last year and have all but one player returning from their spring roster. However they are registered as a AAA team this fall even though they had a winning record against Major teams last year.
2. West Georgia Bandits- This team was 4-2 against Major teams last year but in my opinion has one of the better AAA pitching rotations I saw last year for AAA teams.
3. Elite Gamers Red - Even though this team did not have a winning record against Major teams they played some very tough major teams very close. Most losses against these top notch major teams was by 2 runs or less.
4. Sharon Springs Spartans- This team has a lot of fight in them and one of the better defensive teams in the AAA division last year.
5. Hoco Cubs - This team was my last pick but it seems they took the leap on their own to the major division before Usssa moved them.
These are my picks in the order I believe needs to be moved to the major division. I would love to hear who most of you feel should or needs to take that leap in to the major division.

I would take your top 20 AAA teams move them to major which makes for an overall better division. There will be a gap from the Bandits to the bottom of this group but with playing only the better competition many of these teams will compete and get better. Much better than them beating up on the lower AAA/AA competition they normally play. |

G-Man:
Sharon Springs Black - can play Majors (I've seen their adds) West GA Bandits - Played like Majors by end of 11U
Elite Gamers - Majors (20-4 in 11u AAA = time to move up)
I think Chain Dirt Dawgs and Hoco Cubs need more horses. I noticed some new names on their rosters, but until I see them...AAA.

Gman, I think your list looks good. I might put Mill Creek Red in place of Hoco though. Mill Creek just picked up a major player from Team GA and may be picking up one more. |

Chain Dirtdawgs have been very competitive against Major teams for the last two years. Time to move to Major???? Especially since they don't seem to mind traveling. |

I agree with you on this. They travel a lot and they have a good record against major teams. I wonder why they are not listed/ registered as a major team? They will by no means be a top tier major team but are good enough to compete in the major division.

Well so far the Chain Dirtdawgs from what I have seen this year are playing in AA tournaments and wiping the floor with these teams. I believe they have won 3 tournaments in a row but only AA teams were registered in these tournaments.
The Hoco Cubs I think won the last tournament they were in but I havent seen them registered for many. I do know now that the Cubs registered as a Major team on their own this season so if nothing else I would commend them for taking that leap on their own.

The West GA Bandits will be registered as a major next season. No shame if you get your butt kicked by the best
We've progressed one classification a year since we started back as 10 yr olds

I think that Hoco Cubs, Sharon Springs Spartans, Elite Gamers Red, West Georgia Bandits and Chain Dirtdawgs should test the waters and sign up for the Oct 2-3 Nations Tournament in Winder. We are making the trip from Florida and sure would like some of those teams there. |

10BB after the merger we are looking forward to seeing you guys sometime this year. We are playing with the North Florida Hurricanes 12 Major. This is our first year with them but they made some additions to the team and it looks to be headed in the right direction. We are playing in that Cocoa Beach throw back tournament this weekend. The 16 team entered in the 12u bracket is really made up of mostly 13u teams except for us and 3 other teams. Should be a good tournament.

G-Man We may meet soon as both of our teams are signed up for the Tallahassee tournament for next weekend! I only wish some more teams would enter to make for more pitching required. |

No there were not enough teams registered for that tournament so we signed up for the Cocoa Beach Expo throw back tournament this weekend. Most the teams that are in this 12u age bracket at Cocoa are 13u teams. There are 16 teams in that tournament this weekend. We are leaving here in about an hour to head down to Cocoa Beach.
After this weekend we are signed up for the Usssa 13u tournament in Plant City. Right now there are 13 teams entered. We are the only 12u Major team entered in it but as a team we want to test ourselves this fall. That tournament in Tallahassee there's only like 3 teams registered for it. However I am sure our teams will get to play each other several times this year. You guys have a good group of kids rostered so if we get to play we should have some good games.

Mike Gardner is the coach of the Red team. He coached the 12u team last year and is staying down with his son and a couple other players. They should be very strong this season. |
