the field for the Blue Jays Tournament in March they have listed? If everyone shows up this would be the deepest field I've seen for this age group. Imagine if Ringold, OP and the Gamers Red joined, could be the top 10 playing - that would be murders row, find out quick how deep everyone's pitching is.

CONFIRM TEAMS
ATL. BLUE JAYS 10U
GA. YARDDOGS 10U
NORTH COBB WARRIOR 10U (FORMALLY ACWORTH):)
643DP 10
ECB YANKEES 10U
ECB LONGHORNS 10U
N. HERNY METS 10U
ATL AVALANCHE 10U
OLD NAT. KNIGHTS 10U
ALABAMA POWER 10U

I would love to see OTC in the field. I won't be surprised if teams without 7 or 8 solid pitchers pass on this tournament or teams with many new players. You won't get far in this tournament with 2-3 good pitchers and teams will want time to develop, early March is not far away. I do hope all the teams listed and more play, it would be a great early season test. We'll have to wait and see.

Maybe we can get that Longhorn/Yard Dog matchup we missed last year, that would be fun to watch!

OTC joins the party, this thing is loaded! If Ringold, OP and The Elite Gamers Red enter this would be without question the Top 10 teams in the state for this age group in one tourament. I don't think that has ever happened.

Jaytrae,

Not really sure why you posted this today. We let the Blue Jays know well over two months ago that this wasn't going to fit in our scheduling.

We wish you the best in hosting a successful tournament.

Everyone should be careful looking up tournaments and getting excited about the teams that have signed up. You can sign up for a tournament to show interest and not pay for it then drop out just weeks short of the start date. I have noticed teams signing up for two tourneys on the same weekend. "Shown interest" is not the same as "paid".

Very true excoach!!! Also, beware that some tournaments will put team names down as committed who have never committed to make the tournament look bigger or better than it really is. Some also do not take team names off the committed list once they are notified that a team is no longer attending.

Also some teams will give a verbal committment then back out if they see a team or teams they feel they don't matchup with listed in a tournament, not saying this is the case here but it happens often. If you are going to play Major/AAA or AA don't you want to go looking for the best in your class to better understand what your team needs to work on to compete.

Wow...strong group of teams in both age groups. For the 10's the Yard Dogs and Longhorns have to be the favorites with OP, 643 and the Blue Jays right behind. And for the 9's the Raiders and Longhorns should be the pick with the Braves and OP in the mix.

1st tournament of the year with the top 2 teams in the state in both of these age groups. Should be fun!

We (Georgia Braves) jumped in at the last minute because we got rained out in Lagrange this past weekend. It's exciting to finally get to play in a great field of teams. Good luck to everyone and thanks to the Blue Jays for putting this together.
