Due to injury, the Suwanee Stix is in need of 1-2 experienced players. Greatest need is pitching, hitting, and INF position players. Season has already started, but hoping to get new transplants to the area and “free agents”.
Suwanee Stix is professionally coached by Jojo Batten, an instructor at Hittersbox.com. After being hired in the Fall 2010 Season, Jojo led the Stix on a rampage in the last four tournaments, winning 3 in a row and one 2nd place. As a result, USSSA promoted the Stix from AAA to Major.
The regular weekly team practices schedule goes as follows;
Mondays: 6m-7pm, Team hitting lesson through Hittersbox.com; 7pm-8pm , Speed and Agility through CES (Competitive Edge Sports).
Tuesdays: 8pm-9pm, Optional hitting and pitching clinic/practice at First Strike Academy.
Wednesdays: 7:30pm-9:30pm, Field practice at Bunten Road Park in Duluth, GA.
Sundays: 3pm-5pm, Field practice at Bunten Road Park.(Unless we’re in a tourney)
In short, this is a committed team that needs committed players willing and wanting to reach the next level, has a teachable heart, team-focused rather than self-centered, and…you get the picture.
