Restrooms yes...although its a long walk all the way across the football field...so what exactly is a player supposed to do if he has to go inbetween innings?

Concession....no

Gate fees...ofcourse
exactly where/who does this money go to? They had young kids collecting money and they were clueless... told us only 2 coaches get in for free!

About the only thing triple crown does right is updating their website.
Everything else is a joke!

Yes, bathrooms were located behind centerfield. You will see a set of bleachers back there with some very nice trees. I usually go in there somewhere. Concessions are located outside the park at the nearest intersection. You will see a Walgreen's there.

I also heard that the champions of the tournament received medals! Woo!! I guess trophies were not in the budget. Unbelievable.

Same issues from previous tournaments, the use of one umpire in pool play. However, the scoreboards worked and the fields were lined this weekend.

I, too, will give credit to Triple Crown for one thing - updating the scores on their website. You can also sign up for score alerts via email which is very handy. Other than that, same old story.

There was one positive change to this tournament that I should mention. They did a much better job of appropriately placing teams in the pool groups. In the past, we've had two strong teams (i.e. majors) in the same pool, while other pools would have AA level or less playing against each other. In this tournament, it looks like they took the top teams and put them in seperate pools; then took the next level of teams and slotted them in seperate pools, and so on. That is why in the end, you ended up with the most competitive teams in the semis rather than some weaker team sliding in by playing a weak draw.

In 3 weeks we start the State tournaments for the 2 affilations that most 8u teams play. I think we will see some different teams step up and take the championships, JMO! Everything here on out will be proper feild sizes even the USSSA WS will be played on 180+ feilds (suprise). Hope to see everyone play in the TC state championship 6/1 and then the USSSA States start the following weekend.

What is everybody doing in May? We thought about playing a 9u tournament but couldn't fit it in our schedule. Like to see some Top 5 lists, below is mine...

1. Yarddogs
2. 643
3. Acworth
4. Xpress
5. Gamers
6. everyone else
