MVP will destroy all 3. I like the Astros to beat the Windblower...I mean Hurricanes. Looks like the boys from Alabama could have stayed home to play each other. Overall a good draw.

Hopefully it doesn't rain too much. It's like a 12 our drive .I checked usssa website 20 times today for the brackets.I'm sure somebody will be happy to play us.Just as long as we don't get stuck playing the other MI team.

The wildcard in this tournament are the out of state teams (at least for me). We all know the GA teams that are capable. Outside of Team MVP and Bullets any opinions on other out of state teams that can make a run?

Upnorth, I have raised two All Americans wrestlers. I have made the drive from Ga. to Mi. As you, we were greeted by some in the same manner when we walked onto the mats. Southern boys cant wrestle. But once my kid was on the podium with an All American metal...nothing but respect. Like the MI. wrestling Coach said, they didn't drive 12 hrs for the experience thay came to fight. Im sure you must have some wrestlers on your team. No matter what they will learn and get stronger. We dont get disappointed we learn from our defeats and come back stronger. As to the percent that have no chance... we are considered in that group but dont tell our kids. You will be rusty this time of yr. due to lack of outdoor field time. You also meet one of the better teams in the country first game. One of my favorite teams... Bullets because they dont quit. We played at these fields @ 9 and best I can remember the fences are 6'and about 220. Cant be much more because my kid almost knock one out. Wish you luck.
There are plenty resturants in the area of McDonough, Fayetteville,Jonesboro, and Hampton. If your in Fayetteville try for b/l/d Dwarf house Chick-fil-A 221 Banks Station, Fayetteville, GA. 30214. Kids like this place. Quick, cheap and fast. Several Malls around have everything.

My Take;
36 Teams
(4) Clear Favorites
1. MVP
2. ECB Astros
3. Bullets Gold
4. Evoshield Canes

You asked what is the % of teams with a shot of winning it. I've got 14 teams with the talent and pitching to win it if things go their way. That's about 39%.

It is 11 year olds playing baseball, for 1 game anybody can be beat. We have had people throw a pitcher 5-6 innings against in pool play and not sub in just to get the w & we switch position and working different pitchers. Guess depends on teams goal, beat a top team or win a tournament. Sometimes can do both and sometimes have to pick one.

I agree with Nutz on the top 4. Congrats to your Cougars on the win this weekend. 5-0 with a good field looks like you played solid ball all weekend. Should give you guys some good momentum going into this weekend. Good luck! I'll take a shot at the top two in each pool

A - Bullets and WFD
B - Astros and Hurricanes
C - RBI and Union County
D - Outlaw and Carolina A's
E - PSA Red and Yard Dogs (Not sure what the Yard Dogs have this year)
F - Canes and RBF
G - MVP and Cougars (IMO the toughest pool)
H - Aplpharetta and Athletics
I - Gamers and Blue Jays

I'll go with PSA, 643, Outlaw and RBI to round out the top 8. Got to go with MVP winning it.

Good luck to everyone

I just hope all those 2nd tier GA ballplayers don't have long lasting effects from the beating they are going to take this weekend. I know Calif is always worried about the boys feelings.

Wow. Not saying that. You guys have a good team. But my point is history is a good indicator of who to look out for. I am putting my sons team in that class right now as well. Top major teams have weaknesses that are smaller than AAA teams. This does not mean they can't get beat and teams should just give up against them. The big picture should always be to slay the giant. I guess I should have not said what I said so bluntly. But this is a forum, where opinions can be shared and discussed. After N Fla SNIT nobody will be looking past the savannah bulldogs.

BWV...that wasn't directed at you. I was being a tad bit facetious....but please by all means look past us...interesting pool play match-ups we got, but I think I like it better than our draw at the Florida NIT.

RBF should be able to hang with anyone. They were a top team last year and I assume this year will be no different. Don't recall seeing them in many tournaments thus far.....anyone know how they've been performing this year?

Outlaw baseball only has 6 returning players from last year. I'm going with MVP to take this one.
