I just hope all those 2nd tier GA ballplayers don't have long lasting effects from the beating they are going to take this weekend. I know Calif is always worried about the boys feelings.

I just hope they don't get embarressed. I will talk to my buddy's over at MVP and tell them to take it easy on your boys. Frozen rosters limitations does not allow my son to come to the party this weekend as planned. So you will have to wait until TBS. I will have a box of Kleenex delivered to you at the field. Just in case you need them. I hate to see a grown man cry!! LOL

Fla. has got the edge. Can not believe how many games some have already played. I would like to see an underdog to win this one. That will not happen. Bullets and MVP n ship. However, in a tourney this size there has to be an upset.

The 11U Atlanta SNIT is the toughest in the country.

1. 36 Teams

2. From 9 States

3. 6 of the 20 TBS National Championship Teams

4. 3 pool games to qualify for bracket (most played on Sat)

5. Min 4 up to 5 bracket games to win it (all played on Sun, brutal!)

6. 7 to 8 games played in 36 to 48hrs to win it

A lot of landmines to navigate, Good Luck Gentleman!

I have a question . What percentage of the teams have no chance of finishing in the top 5?I think there are only five teams classified as major teams in MI.Just wondering if there is a different standard you guys go by to classify yourselves as major.I can't wait to see your teams down there play. Hopefully it doesn't rain too much. It's like a 12 our drive .I checked usssa website 20 times today for the brackets.I'm sure somebody will be happy to play us.Just as long as we don't get stuck playing the other MI team.

My Take;
36 Teams
(4) Clear Favorites
1. MVP
2. ECB Astros
3. Bullets Gold
4. Evoshield Canes

You asked what is the % of teams with a shot of winning it. I've got 14 teams with the talent and pitching to win it if things go their way. That's about 39%.

Thanks for your take . Well I guess I got my wish not having to play the Warriors.Probably see them a couple of times at home. Nothing like knocking the rust off against a team that has played 40 games.Should be pretty interesting to see how my sons team reacts .The other teams in the A bracket don't look like they are slouches either. I'll just keep that to myself. The boys just see a team on the field to play.Worst thing that could happen is we get to spend a nice Sunday in Georgia .And then a 12 hour drive home thinking only a month until baseball season in MI starts . You guys are some lucky dogs .

I'd say Friday's best match-up is those vicious Savannah Bulldogs vs. PSA Worth Sox RED.

Finally got some time to sit down and look at the match-ups. Here's my take:

Pool A: Bullets Gold clear favorite; remaining teams even
Pool B: East Cobb Astros overwhelming favorite (weakest pool)
Pool C: RBI and Union County Vipers clear favorites
Pool D: Outlaw Baseball slightly favored; remaining teams even
Pool E: PSA Worth and Savannah slightly favored (even pool)
Pool F: Evoshield favorite and RBF should advance
Pool G: Team MVP favorite; remaining teams even (toughest pool)
Pool H: No clear favorite (all solid teams)
Pool I: No clear favorite

Looks like pool draw helps Astros as they shouldn't have to use much pitching to advance. Then again, they have plenty.

TDD, we only play on these fields once a year. It really is a hit and miss..

Suwaneedad11, having many kids that can pitch against a Major level team and get it done...Pool or Bracket play...

Good luck to all.. Time to play...

Keep Playing!!!!

All pitchers are good to very good. At no time is it necessary to put a inexperienced pitcher on the mound or a pitcher where the majority of a batting lineup is able to square up and drive balls to the power alleys.

Any thoughts on the marquee "must see" matchups?

I'm arranging my schedule now in hopes of seeing 643 vs. MVP.

Actually, I could sit at Warren Holder Park, field # 4 ALL day Saturday...some great matchups there but what are the others games that are looking good?

Steel - I agree, Warren Holder all day Saturday is going to be a dog fight to see who moves on to Sunday.

Other games I like Saturday.
10:30am RH1 Canes vs Ringgold
10:30am RW3 PSA vs The Yard Dogs (repeat of 9U ship, but different)
4:30pm RW3 ECB Longhorns vs GA Hurricanes (funny how that works)

I'm looking forward to see how the GA teams play now that they have a couple tournaments under their belt. IMO the ECB Astros might have the most talent and deepest pitching in the country and now that they have played together a couple of tourmaments they are going to be a very tough out.
