I regularly read posts here that talk about how good this team is, how good that tournament was, who is going to win this or that?…most comments are always insightful and positive. Others post only with a complaint or excuse. Super Nit - bad umpiring, Tournament in Florida – bad and biased umpiring, now Border Wars. To each his own…but it gets old. Maybe just take your lumps like everyone else and remember at the end of the day this is youth baseball, not life or death. |

We have never said anything that you mention below.. As wrong as they are here are the facts..
Atl SNIT- we got beat by MVP. Best team in the country right now. Last Fla tournament- Got beat by Team Miami(great team)- umpires were worse than Sat at Atl SNIT..... GA/Fla showdown- Not the tournament we signed up for...If you or anyone else wants to spend the money that we have to play the BEST lest me know. Donations are accepted.
BTW- I would put up our coaches in same group with the coaches you have mentioned...
Danny P and I talk at every game and tournament and are both in this for the same reasons... Just ask him.
Please read: we have been beaten 4 times on Sundays this year besides the first tournament we played in Feb. MVP, Team Miami and 2 12u major teams... No complaints.
We have 12 kids that can all pitch on Sundays, 12 kids that can bat 1-12, 12 kids that play more than 3 positions on our team, and most importantly, 12 kids that are having a blast and developing some great friendships... I had 5 stay at my house this past weekend....
Where is the complaining? Or do you mean standing up for our team about false comments made by people like you...
Richard

ECB11- Please see my recent post about each one of your points below...
Post about last Fla Tournament:
Wish we could have pulled it out against Miami but is was not in the cards....... I Think you are going to have to come to GA...We do not want to play in another USSSA tournament in Fla....Umps were too much for us...When they laugh at calling a kid out and tell you that you will never get a call in Fla, it is time to move on....
My post about Atl SNIT: not sure who could have beaten M.V.P. this past weekend in the 12u tournament... 4 pitchers throwing 70+ with very few walks, every kid that came to the plate was disciplined, they hit low strikes, high strikes, outside strikes and many times balls that can't be hit... It was their weekend....Hats off to Mike and Mandy and team M.V.P.
My post about Ga/Fla Championship:
Astros are out.... This was suppose to be the Best from Ga vs the Best from Fla.
This post is Just to make sure everyone understands we are not complaining and are 100% + satisfied with where our team stands as far as success, development, and having fun!!!!

I think all the GA teams interested in excellent 11U baseball need to bring their kids out to the TBS National's @ ECB and spectate. Astros have played the BEST teams in the East already which is more than most teams can say. We won the FLA/GA last year and it was a great tourney last year, but this year we have larger goals in mind, and a limited budget. Also none of the elite teams are complaining, it's the teams that want to play against the elite teams that are being vocal. If you want to play against Elite teams then find the tourney's they all sign up for, and go to those. A FLA vs GA tourney, to the Elite teams, isn't as big a draw as say the TBS nationals or the Elite WS of any of the 8 travel ball leagues. I agree it sucks for the teams that competed to qualify because of who they thought they would get to face, and that part I get. But the Elite teams set their own course for the year, and those who wanna play them follow. |

I think if you allow your team to be listed in a tournament, that is a commitment to play. If you pull out because you have health reasons or other legit reasons that is one thing!
The GA teams played each other to see who should go and play the FLA teams that were listed for the tournament. Then the teams listed decided not to go because they didnt like the competition, they didnt have a large enough budget..... These are not legit reasons to pull out! |

Pick what schedule you would not like to have... (Teams don't matter since everyone plays everyone!) A. 10:30am, 2:30pm, 6:30pm, 8:30am B. 8:30am, 12:30pm, 6:30pm, 8:30am C. 8:30am, 12:30pm, 4:30pm, 10:30am D. 10:30am, 2:30pm, 4:30pm, 10:30am
The lucky recipient of Schedule B, is one of only two teams in the tournament (all ages) with two 8:30 am games and one of 2 teams in the tournament with the late game Saturday and the early game Sunday (A has the other)! With the worst times of any team in any age group, someone obviously doesnt like our team! Forgot to mention that the team with schedule B, also has the most USSSA points from the GA teams and finished 2nd at the qualifier! |

I do not know the details of this specific situation but tournament directors sometimes put top teams as enrolled to entice other teams to come. We have been shown as enrolled in tournaments that we never said we would be in. Pretty common usssa practice. |

good luck to all the teams in the much altered georgia/florida showdown. four teams from each state will battle it out for bragging rights. no big deal as to who backed out from florida or who backed out from georgia. just get there, let the kids show their skills on the fields. btw that is a tough schedule for team B.

After some thought on it and imho. If your team signed up to play in a specific tournament and to play specific teams which are arguably two of the top teams around anywhere and that is the primary reason you wanted to represent your state; to play those teams / their state and they pull out of the tourney then that is a very legitimate reason to pull out as well.

I think the final match-up would have been different had it not been for the rain. We had just started the fourth against the Wolverines in pool play when the sky fell out. IMHO...we would have beaten the Wolverines if we get to complete that game. I was much more impressed with the Salty Dawgs...that was a great battle. They are a very good team. |

Congratulations to you guys for bringing the championship home to Georgia. Plus, you beat one of the very few team (Wolverines) that has beaten Team MVP this season.
Looks like Triple Crown is coming to your backyard this weekend! |

I wasn't there for this one. What happened to OTC? I thought they'd be in the finals or at least that's what I got from everyone I spoke to. |

Hats off to Savannah though and hope your season continues to go well. I heard that the Salty Dogs were much better than their placing out of the Florida teams to.
