This tourny looks to have a pretty decent field so far. Of course we all know the Astros are going to win but besides them it looks quite even. When will the brackets be out?

Add the Hobgood Braves as the 20th 11U team. Now that I have a finalized list I can turn the pools over to ECB in the morning and get a schedule done by late tomorrow.
My method for suggesting the pools to ECB will be as follows:
I am using USSSA points and classification first; and then adding in points I assign from placement in TripleCrown (USSSA qualifier column). Full points for Gold, 1/2 for Silver and 1/3 for Bronze.
Then I will snake 6 pools.
Next I will try to keep teams that have already played this Spring from playing again by moving a team one slot left or right. ECB 11U teams will also be separated.
And for you teams that keep you schedule/calendar password locked, or don't us GameChanger, or don't update your web site: too bad for you if you play a team again that you played in a non-USSSA or Triple Crown Tournament or pick up game.
Feel free to slam the pools, next time you host a non-USSSA tournament, you can do the pools your way.
Two pool games, then split into Gold and Silver Bracket. Not sure if it will be 12 and 8 or 10 and 10.
Tournament starts 6PM Friday.

| 12uCoach - thanks for posting your pool rationale. Seems really thorough in your consideration of USSSA, TC, plus other match-ups listed in teams' GameChanger sites. Good, bad or ugly - at least you have a system and have shared up front. |

I agree 110%. Other TD's should take note and don't see how those playing in this one chould complain. My only comment is to take as many in the Gold bracket as possible. At least for me, it's a bummer to go 1-1 in pool and have to play in the Silver. |

Was supposed to get schedule approval tomorrow morning, but a personal issue has happened, and it may be delayed.

I have been unable to get OFFICIAL sanction for the schedule, so I hid it in the open, except for those that are computer savvy.

Schedule is OFFICIAL.
Let discussion of the pool winners, 4 wild cards in the Gold bracket and the Silver Bracket Champion begin.
Rain is moving out, and with a 3PM Championship on Sunday, we can move some Bracket games to Sunday in necessary.

| Maybe they should have started the tournament tonight instead just in case it was a wash on Sunday. But tough to do with CRCT testing going on this week at area schools. Hopefully the weather people are wrong like usual (what a great job to have). |

B - Hobgood Braves (playing good ball lately)
C - ES Hurricanes (are they on or off this weekend? I'm guessing on)
D - Lula Lugnuts
E - ECB Dodgers
F - SP Wildcats (think they get by Titans and 10U Braves)
Tough battle for teams with 4 in pool as 1-1 finish will likely send you to Silver Bracket.
SPX only team to get late game Friday and early game Saturday. |

Yeah weather people can be wrong 50% of the time and keep their jobs.
I don't know of any other profession you can fail at 50% of the time and keep your job.
WAIT!
In baseball you can fail 60-65% of the time hitting and make the Hall of Fame!! I stand corrected............... |

I think these picks are pretty spot on, but I will take the Titans in pool F. I think the Astros would win this tournament even if they drew lineups and positions out of a hat. No disrespect to other teams, I just think they have so many weapons. I will take Hobgood as my runner up in gold bracket because those boys can hit.

So it's 3:50pm with bracket games starting at 3:00pm.
The 1:00pm starting games have not been updated and the seeding is not yet done.
I hope my team isn't one of the teams slated to play 50 minutes ago as we will not make it. No emails, nothing. I guess all teams were supposed to hang around the fields waiting for the seeding to be written on the very confusing cardboard sheets leaning on the TD table.
Awful job with updating the teams. |
