1. Bring lots of chip clips/laundy pins to hang stuff from the bunk beds.
2. Bring Silver markers for the dark blue shirts
3. Wiffle balls for BP in case of Rain
4. There are only 22 Cages and many of the FL teams will take 2 cages (Young guns did while we were here). Get to them early
5. Power strips for gadget chargers
6. Money to buy an extra hat or jersey, someone will lose it.

More to come as I can think of it.

FYI, we decided to go the hard way and have to win 10 to win it...haha. Bad week for the kids. Oh well, 12U baseball.

River came in 3rd on the home run derby and has hit some moon shots.

The train to the hall of fame schedule is off and don't trust the park on what they say. Might as well drive to be safe.

Bring an Aerobie for ultimate firsbee...I threw ours on the first throw from the cages into the pond. Check out the distance when you get there...pretty crazy. 30 minutes setting up the game and launching the aerobie into the pond on the first throw. Game over, back to the bunks, haha.

1. Bring a lamp or some lights. They will come by at 10:30 and say lights out when you finished your game at 10:15...pretty stupid.
2. There are no batter's boxes for the players, it is quite stupid. You have guys almost on the grass taking pitches. Tell you kids to move way up in the box.

What's the cell service like up there. Will we be able to score a game with Gamechanger with 3G so the grandparents who could not make it can follow live?

Congrats on your nice run yesterday.

There's no WiFi or internet in the dorm area. You can get a decent signal. Last year I had AT&T wireless card working for laptop and plenty of 3G signal for phones/pads.

Pea,

Curious, is the sentiment toward the Phenom sour from the other teams? I remember several years back hearing Leon Medical Center getting boos and disrespect from all the other teams before the finale because of the way they built their team and carried themselves during the week. Likewise last year with the 3n2 ringer teams brought in by Lou. Is the same thing going on around Phenom? I remember Leon requiring teams wanting to trade for their pins a 2for1/3for1 swap. They woke up one morning to find a couple of hundred of their pins piled up outside their door. Gotta love it when the kids take it into their own hands on how to respond.

They came off their private bus, had people remove their bags, walked in single file line, hoodies raised, etc... Kids were able to trade pins with them normally, but we had cool pins 8-)...

Let's put it this way in the Bomberz game there were 16 players for Phenom and 32 fans, and 1000 for the Bomberz. Looks like they Get MOAB the team we lost to in the Semi's. MOAB has 1-8 legit hitters, should be fun!

How is Leon Medical tied in there? I did some work there, and man I have some stories about that place

Back in 2008 they sponsored a 10u team that had recruited up and down FL and flown several kids and families out from Cali. Team completely put together with ringers for the week. To the extent that their starting SS from the "regular" season rarely saw the field (along with many others). There was extreme arrogance and attitude from the coaches, fans and players throughout the week. As their reputation spread, so did the opposing fans.

Sounds like a very similar situation going on for Phenom.
