| I thought 6-4-3 would win this thing, but they got beat by a solid GA Select team. HR derby - they had a solid line up top to bottom. Thought they would win it all, but NYO Titans once again surprise me with 11-9 win in ship. |

| Yes. It was a great game by 2 class teams. Not sure many folks gave the NYO Titans a chance in that game. There were multiple lead changes, and a point where it looked like GA Select might run away with it. But NYO hung in there and even overcame adversity when their starting pitcher went down in the first or second inning after being drilled in the leg by a hard hit grounder. We don't have any guys that come in from out of town on a weekend to play for us that we can go to. Just 12 kids playing their hearts out, and excellent coaches. Our closing pitcher came in later on and pitched one heck of a game against a team who's nine hole hitter could go deep. As an NYO supporter, I can say that the GA Select coaches and parents are a class program that are probaly one of the best teams we have played all summer - top to bottom. Sitting with their boys in the stands in the previous game, they were well mannered saying "yes, sir" when spoken to by adults. There were no misbehaving coaches or fans or players - no chanting or distracting fans - just a good solid baseball game between to good programs. And yes, NYO is an All-Star team playing out of Chastain Park. We play a six week summer schedule and then our kids move on to other sports like football and basketball and lacrosse. A few might play some fall baseball, but most of these kids are smart and well rounded 2 and 3 sport athletes. It's been a great year and we are almost done. |

| mamma- I think it has been well established on this forum that the NYO isn't really like an all star team. Many of them have played travel all through the fall and on other teams over the years. |

I'm tired of hearing 'check the bat' and 'come on, drive it!'. The kids seem to be pretty grounded, but some of there parents are another story.
