It's been a fantastic 5 years working in this age group. A ton of great players and coaches but I'm staying back in 12's next year and will coach the 12U Astros in 2013. I have enjoyed competing with all of you over the years and will miss this age group but will play up a few times so I may see everyone again next year. Best of luck to all of you and I really appreciate all of things this baseball community did for my assistant coach last year. It meant a great deal and I'm forever greatful.
Good luck the rest of the season and keep it about the kids!

Best of luck Mike. I've always appreciated and respected the way your teams competed. |

Coach, you will be an asset to the 12U group next season and you've got us shaking already when you said the 12u team would play up sometimes next yr. It's tough knowing the Braves run of excellence in this age group is over but as you know it is so difficult for teams to keep it up as the boys get older, bigger and stronger.
Good luck next season, we're all gonna keep on eye on you and will be rooting for ya. Now, who will the teams target as their "team to beat" in the pre-season? ;-) |

Mike, I personally have appreciated your mentoring and have learned a lot from the way you run your team. I look forward to continuing the friendship. Best of luck at 12u!

Thanks guys. I have really been touched by all of the emails I've received from coaches and other parents about how our team has helped this age group. Receiving those calls and emails has made it all worth it! We have had some great battles with the Yard Dogs, Stealth, Astros, Longhorns, Rays, Shiloh, Wills Park just to name a few. The games and tournaments are starting to blend together but it's been a great ride but all good things must come to an end.
It's a big jump playing up in 13's as a 12U team and it will be nice playing you guys as the big underdog. Good luck the rest of this season. |

Mike, I only umped one of your games. The final of the TC in Savannah. I can say this you exhibited class as did your staff, kids and parents. Even with the craziness of the other teams coach and parents you kept your cool and that is why you won that tilt. Great call to get the run home. I am sure you will be a success at 12 and I look forward to seeing you on the diamond. |
