We are excited to introduce Coach Keith Golden and his coaching staff as the new coaching staff of the 15u East Cobb Titans. Coach Golden and his staff have a long tradition at East Cobb. He and his staff (Coach Kevin Patterson & Coach David Flamm) have coached the very successful East Cobb Rangers since 2007. The 2009 East Cobb Rangers were selected by East Cobb Baseball as the Team of the Year for their dedication, hard work, competitive spirit and respect for the game at the ECB Banquet. Coach Golden and his staff decided to make the move to the Titans as they felt it is a great opportunity within the East Cobb Program.
Coach Golden comes with a vast wealth of knowledge of the game. In addition to coaching at East Cobb, he has been a varsity assistant coach at Kell High School since 2005. Coach Golden's Ranger teams have performed extremely well over the years in a vast number of tournaments, including a recent 2012 Runner-up Finish in the CABA 17s World Series. In addition to his teams overall success there have been a number of individual success stories for his players as well. He has coached a number of Major League draft picks including a supplemental 1st round draft pick, a 2nd rounder, two 3rd rounders, a 32nd and 36th rounder as well as a number of D1-D3 college players.
Coach Golden has one of longest continuing coaching staffs in the East Cobb Program as all three coaches have been together since 2008. Kevin Patterson has long coached High School baseball in Georgia including back to back State Championships at The Walker School. Kevin has been with the Ranger staff since its inception in 2007. David Flamm has been in travel baseball since 2001 coaching out of the highly respected EastSide Baseball program prior to joining the Ranger staff in 2008.
They will be holding a Pre-East Cobb tryout on Sunday, August 5th, @5:00 in the lower indoor hitting facility. If you are interested in trying out, please contact Coach Golden @ keithgolden22@gmail.com.
All participants are required to pay and attend the actual East Cobb try-outs on August 11th and 12th as well.
