We want to thank all the teams that came out to the Sold Out USSSA Lighting Shootout yesterday. It was a great day of baseball and we got so much good feed back from the coaches. players and fans about the environment we tried to provide with player announcements, music, PA announcer, player interatction, home run derby, etc. By listening to the players in the dugout during the games they were having a great time with it.
We just wanted to drop a note to say thank you to all of the 6 teams that came out and helped us make this a great event.
The games ran a little bedhind and the championship game was going to be close to a 9pm start time with COLD temps and CRAZY winds that made it brutal. The Dodgers made the right call for their boys and forfeited the championship game. Overall it was a good tourney in not so good conditions. Thanks lighting for hosting and running things as smoothly as possible.
Our boys played up a little bit this past weekend and held their own. I was pround of the way we held up against the Dodgers and HP in the last two games of the day.
I feel bad for both teams that they didnt get to play the game. It was FREEZING on Sunday night with the wind blowing, so it would be have been an interesting game.
