The Oregon Park Wolfpack is currently scheduling tryouts for the upcoming 2016-2017 11U season. Our first tryout for new and returning players will be Saturday June 18th from 9-11 AM at Oregon Park Field 1.
Offers and roster decisions will be made on or before July 18th due to our participation in the park's OPEN TRYOUT so that players know well in advance of the coming Fall season.
The Wolfpack will enter our 3rd full season as a team. We will be playing USSSA and Triple Crown AA/AAA tournaments in the fall. We have been very competitive at the 10UAA level and are looking to move to AAA next season. We are currently ranked in the Top 10 in the nation and Top 5 in the state based on USSSA points.
Oregon Park is located at 145 Old Hamilton Road Marietta, Ga.[/red] OP is one of the state's largest baseball programs and represents some of the best players from the surrounding area.
There are no costs for this tryout.
The 2016-2017 Wolfpack will be led by our Head Coach Matt Griffin and Asst. Coach Scott Creel. Our paid coaches DO NOT have a player on the team. The team will be focused on continued player development with players in multiple positions and all players being developed as pitchers. We are looking for motivated and coachable players who want to play and win at the next level. Wolfpack players will experience fast paced organized practices and training sessions as well as receive individualized one-on-one lessons in all aspects of the game.

- Current Asst. Athletic Director at Kennesaw State University
- 15+ years of college level coaching
- Played professional ball the Cubs organization
- Played college baseball at Southern Polytechnic University
- Focused on individual player and team development
Assistant Coach- Scott Creel
- 3-time All-Conference player at Southern Poly, recipient of bboth Bachelor's and Master's from SPSU in addition to academic honors
- Played college baseballl at Jacksonville State and Southern Poly: SPSU Hall of Famer
- Former Harrison High School All-State team member
- currently coaching 15-year old travel team and has been coaching travel baseball for the past 6 years
- Emphasizes the importance of hard work and technique that translates onto the ball field as well as everyday life.
