If anyone is interested in a Christmas baseball camp, let me suggest the Next Level Camp at East Cobb. This is not an East Cobb sponsored event. The Next Level group is out of Tallahassee, FL. They use the ECB facility to host the camp. Last year was the 1st year for the Youth Camp as in prior years it has been only for high school aged kids. They opened it up to youth ages 9-13 last year and according to their website they have included ages as earliest as 6 years old this year.

The majority of our team attended last year and it was the BEST camp we have ever been to. It was well organized and had lots of personalized/individualized instruction for the kids. There is usually about 20-25 Professional Scouts, and another 10 or so current minor league players providing GREAT instruction. The kids also get to interact with some of the top High School players that will be drafted or have signed major college scholarships. These high school kids are there too trying to get good instruction while they showcase their talents as well. In the end, kids are broken into teams and play well organized instructional games.

I have had the opportunity to take my son to this Camp for the past 4 years. He was not old enough to participate fully until last year but along the way got some good instruction and a chance to be around some pretty good ball players. In the last 4 years, there have been several 1st -3rd round draft picks in attendance. We have also done the college camps like Auburn and Georgia Tech. Neither of these camps compare to the level of instruction kids receive at the Next Level Camp. They truly meet the kids where they are and you don't ever get the feeling that they are a number or a $$$$$$.

I have no affiliation to this group and I am not trying to drum up business for them. In fact, they don't know that I'm posting this message. But if you're interested, check out their website. They provide lunches for the kids and the scouts interact with the parents answering any and all questions. It is a great 4 days and the best $$$$ spent for a camp/instruction.
