Anyone catch any of the TC tourney this past weekend? Looks like there was some good baseball played and competitive games. Didn't include the 'elite' 11U teams. Just curious to know if any of these teams are legit. Most of these teams aren't discussed very often on this site. But, with a pretty thin group of Majors teams, I'm curious to know if any of these could elevate and compete next season. 12U seems to be a big jump (or decline) for a lot of teams.
Forsyth Raiders, Smyrna All-Stars, Sandy Plains, Roswell (Green), HP (Pronzy AND Clem), Acworth, and Oconee are all solid AAA teams. Any can compete in a one or two game shoot out with some of the lower-tier major teams-- but most lack depth to compete in a full-blown major event. These teams are scrappy and fundamentally sound. I could see 1 (or more) getting pushed to Major by USSSA next year.
