The Gwinnett Spartans are looking to add high quality talent to its 2018 Spring and Summer rosters! We are looking for all positions to compete for starting positions as we strongly encourage healthy competition among teammates. Those that dedicate themselves to this team and its practices will be granted plenty of opportunities for ample playing time on the field!
We exclusively use the indoor hitting facilities and home field of Shiloh High School located in Snellville, Georgia.
We offer all 3 seasons in a year (Spring, Summer, and Fall), however this post will focus on the 2018 Spring and Summer seasons. As far as Spring goes, the purpose will be to offer an alternative to the traditional High School season. We will be participating in weekend Varsity Level/18U Tournaments and double headers. There will be 2-4 practices a week split between Field Instruction and BP. You should expect anywhere from 20-28 games, weather permitting. The season will start 1st week of February, and end Mid April. This will provide a 2 week rest period before beginning the summer season. We are looking for ALL POSITIONS for this team! Pitchers and good hitters heavily desired! Try outs: TBD (Typically weekend after all high school tryouts are done).
As far as the Summer Season goes, the purpose will be to play in a variety of top quality tournaments to get the full experience of what Summer Baseball is all about and to get players scouted by college and pro scouts. We have a terrific schedule for the price that we offer. You should expect 28-40 games in this format, so plenty of opportunities to get the exposure you need to get seen and to be apart of a special culture that only the Gwinnett Spartans can offer. We are extremely competitive in our prices compared to many of the other teams throughout the state of Georgia, so please take a look at us before making a decision on a program!
Players will receive coaching from those that have been around the game for many years ranging from current High School Varsity Coaches to former players at the collegiate and semi pro levels. Our coaches also participate in coaching clinics and camps that are taught by current Pro and College Coaches! There is no daddy ball or favorites within this organization and everyone gets an equal opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the coaches.
