Heard that Yankees called for the forfeit, with fans screaming that they were the champions. WP mistakenly relied on tournament director tracking innings pitched. Despite great weekend, Tony did not update after semi-final because he was occupied with trophy presentation on another field. While declining forfeit may have been good sportsmanship, behavior around the Yankees' dugout was not.

Congrats to the Yankees. Heard WP accidentally pitched one of their kids over the innings limit in the Championship and should have lost by forfeit. Yankees declined and wanted to finish the game and take chances of winning on the field. Great sportsmanship.
I think you've answered a question that has been asked a while back. " why don't the Yard Dogs play in tournaments up north". Sorry about what happened to Wills Park.. Keep your head up men

Sorry about what? The yankees played the game and won. What does this tournament have to do with playing up north.
Longhorns are in top 4 after today's play....playing at 8 in the semis and if they win they play at 10 for AAU National championship. North-South-West....who cares? just play ball.... Great job horns.
Baseballready- If you were at this game, you would have heard what truely happened when the pitching error was discovered. There were comments from the crowds of both teams- some not nice and some very nice.
And as the situation was discussed, you would have heard that both teams wanted to play out the game, came to an agreement on how the situation should be handled and proceeded to play an amazing game.
Also, when did it become the sole responsibility of the Tournament Director to keep track of the Innings Pitched? This is a responsibility of each teams coaches to track this-in addition to keeping the Pitch Count of each pitcher. This by-far is the biggest responsibility of a coach to their players- their health!
