After 4 games the Hobgood Thashers are seeded #2 with only allowing 2 runs over their first 4 games. Congratulations to them and the other Gerogia Teams participating this week. REPRESENT US WELL!

Hobgood is 5-0 now and the #5 seed. They are the highest rated GA team so far with Shaw Park Legends at 4-1 in the #31 spot. Keep it up!

pool play is not a good guage there. It is really luck of the draw. Not saying those teams didn't play well, but there were some really high seeds in week 1 that were low-mid AAA teams.

Just like the tournaments in Atlanta. Luck of the draw. Some make it really far because of easy pools and sometimes a good ways into bracket until they meet their first real compititon, then they just fold.

The website has a nice summary of the championship game.

Take a look at Team Florida's second inning: WOW

Team Florida (FL): Walters strikes out swinging. Ciaravino walks. Mattos 2-Run HR to CF. Morrill flies out to SS. Bosnic HR to LF. Mitchell HR to LF. Diaz Hr to CF. Nikhazy HR to RF. Hoglund is HBP. Wild pitch. Wild pitch. Cecconi singles to LF. Cox grounds out to the SS. 7 Runs 6 Hits 2 Errors

Four consecutive HRs, and five in the inning. Impressive at any level. Pretty awesome that it came in a championship game. Wow.

Way to go Thrashers! Eight wins and one loss to Team Florida is a great run. What great memories for the boys to make it to the elite eight out of 104 teams with all of the perks, large crowds of spectator, multiple umpires, and transportation for the team, just like the big leagues. And to do it with the same eleven boys you stared with in the fall. Way to represent your state and your park!
