The Motor City team is the elite of the elite no doubt. I saw them play last year in the tbs Nationals and again this past weekend. I can honestly say they are the best team I have seen period at this age. They picked up a kid or two from last years squad and of course they were mashers and studs on the bump. Kid they threw against ga power was from NY. Ga Power is not a small 13u team..these kids looked like they were 2 years older and the kid that pitched looked to be throwing 75-77 mph all night long. From 54 feet that is bringing it especially all through the game. I have seen all the teams in GA and even know last year Xtreme beat them the team this year was stronger. Maybe because of the rules of the tbs nationals requiring your team to be pure and no pick ups but with the pick ups they had no one in GA was beating them. Ga Power had a kid throwing 73-74 at least and they were hitting line drives like they were grown men. I saw a few hits that a few folks in the crowd near me for sure thought the bats were juiced.. a 13U kid hitting the ball 350 feet is not normal. I am not saying they were or were not because I dont know but the bat speed those kids generated was at a different level than anyone I have seen. I dont know if they were loaded / shaved but they sure as heck sounded odd and the ball went every bit of 350 feet on two hits. I did not see them at EC but only at LP but I heard from others they put on a show over there too. They are showcase ready for sure.

My son was on the Double Day Titans team that played Motor City in Cooperstown this past summer. Charlie Culberson was one of the coaches for that Titans team, and that same team is now playing under the Culberson name out of Rome GA. Culberson has a very solid group of 13U players this year. Motor City knocked them out of Cooperstown by a score of 12-4. The Culberson kids were only down 6-4 going into the top of the 5th, but the Motor City bats came alive with back to back to back homers. Of course that was on the tiny fields, but Culberson had probably his top pitcher in the game. That Motor City crew was easily the best that I saw in NY that week.

Motor City is always strong through the 13 - 14U age groups. But for whatever reason they fall away after 14U. Not sure why that is? But has been like that for as long as I can remember
