Excel proved that they surely belong in the Top 10 in ALABAMA.

Majority of kids are from Georgia and they play the majority of their tournaments in Georgia. Excel has proven the last two years they belong in the top group of teams. They don’t have a power arm or a ridiculous size roster, but they play with and have beaten the best Georgia has to offer on a regular basis. In Alabama there is no one in the same conversation as them, that’s why they come to Georgia.

Good for them. They're a good team, for sure. But they're an Alabama team. So why are they in this discussion?
If the parents of the Ga. boys on that team are feeling left out, maybe they could consider a Ga. team instead.

I read you're comment wrong. Solid point that they're not a Georgia based team. I don't think anyone takes any of this serious enough to feel "left out." |

Any changes in top teams now that a decent number of tournaments have been played? Astros Orange, SGSA and TE National seem like a clear top 3 with 5 Star National Haynes next. Then it seems to be a bunch of teams who are pretty comparable - Bigstix, 643 Cougars, Devine, Canes SE, GAP. Ninth Inning is in that mix too but have mostly played 54/80 so haven’t seen a lot of head to head matchups. I’d also add TE Prospects and maybe Raptors in that group. |

I am partial to Prospects for many reasons! I think they are in the top 10. I agree on raptors who can be very good at times. Canes and GAP played up and down so hard for me to say. NI was, when they were on, a really capable team. They won their last 60/90 against Prospects.
Devine was LEGIT, at least from what I witnessed at 60/90. I heard they got caught like others with paid PG tourneys but no more 60/90 available. Not sure how they fared or who else was caught in the same situation.
Last one I’d throw in is SP Bears. |

Raptors and Prospects proved they belong in the top teams mix by making Gold Bracket and advancing to Quarterfinals last weekend. Haven’t seen SP Bears in a month or so but they are tough.
Also TE National took out SGSA but didnt play Astros so I’m not sure how to order those 3 teams. Maybe they are all pretty equal. |
