I help a couple of former D1 softball coaches with a podcast. This past week they discussed this subject. Even though they cover fastpitch softball, a lot of things are the same with baseball. This was a good discussion and the latter part of the podcast they give some excellent advice for coaches.

This is discussed often, so thought I would share it.

We have all seen it. Team is struggling and the coach is not changing anything. The bench players and their parents are not happy because they are not getting a chance to see if they are better. The coaches discuss this problem and give our coaching friends some strategies to use in this situation. In fact, some of these strategies should be put to use even if you have a winning team.
