You people crack me up!!! Tony does these tournaments for a living. He doesn't hide that fact at all. He runs the best tournaments around. Are they a bit more money, yes. But, does he work harder then any other tournament director to get games in, yes. Is his website updated after every game played, yes. Are his game times posted before everyone else's, yes. Does he have a representative at every field for every game, yes. Have you ever seen one of his events not "make", no! Did you know that he lives in Florida and commutes up here to run these things. As well as run all of the TC events in Florida as well.
If it's not one thing it's something else. If all we have to worry about are the prizes at the end of these events then I think we are all doing pretty well. Buying individual trophies is not the easiest thing to do. If you think it is then you've never done it before. He buys them in bulk, if I had to guess because once the season starts he no time to go through all it takes to order stuff like that. Plus I'm sure he gets a way better deal.
Let's just play ball and find something else to complain about. Concession stand food maybe??? |

Kudos to TC and Toney. The Slugfest was awesome. It was my first TC event and I would have to say that it was the best ran tournament we have ever play in. After playing with our local joke U trip directors, it was a nice to feel appreciated. Congratulations to 10u Braves and SF Giants. |

If we win a tournament I give the big team trophy to the most outstanding player on the team for that tournament. If we win another I pick another player besides the one that already won one even if he was the MVP for our team. Coaches don't need trophies. |

TC does a poor job in my opinion. $465 for a tournament with little oversight. We played a tournament that the ECB Phillies hosted, it was like $375 and there were big trophies for 1st and 2nd. As for 2nd place medals, I think my 2nd place medal for 1991 State AAAA championships is still laying on the highway betwen Newnan and Marietta!!!! |
