What did we learn this weekend? Only 3 Ga teams in the final 8. Is our talent spread a little thin? There were several preseason "mentioned" teams that didn't fair to well. Tough pool draw, maybe. There was some good baseball played by all the teams though regardless of record.
In my opinion this weeekend showed that you have true Elite teams and normal Major teams. Without a doubt there are 2 distinct classes of at the Major level. Some very good teams blanked and went 0-3. Pool A was brutal for the Pirates, Rangers, and Warriors. And the Stingers, Storm, and HP Lewis had a rough go as well. |
